When planning for my lessons, I make sure to have perfectly understood the needs of my students, making sure that work is accurately differentiated for them, in order to either simplify it or extend it and make it more challenging. I have a clear understanding of how students learn and how a variety of factors can inhibit their learning. For this reason, along with offering lessons in the desired topic, I approach the subject holistically, ensuring that I address also other issues the student may have. When I teach, I rely on both verbal and written activies and give special importance to synoptic links, to ensure that my students have not only learnt the topic of the lesson but are able to apply it to a wider range of disciplines. When it comes to written work, I am a meticolous proofreader and I am able to identify key issues in structuring or wording of sentences. Having had extensive experience in marking students' work, I am very confident with essay requirements for both A Level exams and university essays and dissertations.
I am been working as a private tutor since 2014 and have taught at least thirty students in a range of subjects, from American Literature to Italian GCSE. I have also been working as a teacher in higher education since 2016.
