That's a very broad question, is there anything you're particularly struggling with?

how to work out the angle on a right angled triangle when you know to of the lengths of the triangle
07 May 2012
It all depends on which sides of the triangle you have and which angle you are trying to work out. Do you have a length for the hypotenuse (the longest side of the triangle?).

For trigonometry like this, you can use SOH CAH TOA (and pretend you are a ninja whilst saying it...). SOH = SinA = length of the opposite side to the angle / length of the hypotenuse

6cm
07 May 2012
CAH = CosA = length of the adjacent side to the angle / length of hypotenuse

TOA = TanA = length of the opposite side to the angle / length of the adjacent side to the angle

wait it has changed to 5cm

Then when you have SinA or CosA or TanA, you can use your scientific calculator to get the angle by pressing 2nd function and Sin-1 / Cos-1 / Tan -1

i still don't get any of this

This is Charlie's dad. It's clear that he does not undertand this. He would like to get some online tutoring. He cant do it now, but can do tomorrow. He will send you a private message via Tutorhub.
