Newton's explanation was that two bodies with mass create a gravitational pull towards each other. You have mass, so does Earth, hence the 'pull' (gravity) towards each other.

ehh to be honest i dont know either, i don't listen much either though i really regret it when the end of unit tests come up. Though i know it pulls you to the ground and thst there isn't any in space if that helps
