What is homeostasis
24 January 2012
Homeostasis is derived from greek, and means "same" and "being still" (more or less.) Together they refer to a system that has some sort of negative feedback to keep some parameter constant. Your body has several mechanisms that do that. Your core body temperature and the level of glucose in your blood are two examples of homeostasis.
