Each session is thoughtfully designed to accommodate students of all levels, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for personal growth and holistic healing. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced practitioner, join her classes to embark on a journey of self-discovery and transformation through the ancient wisdom of yoga. Online yoga classes offer a convenient and flexible way to practice yoga from the comfort of your home. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect: Types of Online Yoga Classes: Live or Recorded: yes, it's live session only, You can choose between live interactive sessions with a Teacher. Focus: There are classes designed for different goals, such as stress relief, weight loss, improved flexibility, prenatal yoga, etc. So as per your comfort class will design. Benefits of Online Yoga Classes: Convenience: Practice yoga anytime that fits your schedule. Cost-effective: Generally cheaper than studio classes. Variety: Wide range of classes to choose from. Privacy: Practice yoga in the comfort of your own home. Here are some details about what to wear for an online traditional yoga class: Comfort is key: Traditional yoga focuses on proper alignment and breathwork, so you want to wear clothes that allow for a full range of motion and comfortable breathing. Choose breathable fabrics: Natural fabrics like cotton or moisture-wicking synthetics are ideal for yoga as they allow your skin to breathe and help regulate your body temperature. Consider loose-fitting clothing: Baggy clothes can get in the way during certain poses, but fitted clothing that's too tight can restrict movement and be uncomfortable. Opt for loose-fitting clothes that drape comfortably over your body. Examples of suitable clothing: Leggings or yoga pants Loose-fitting t-shirt or tank top Shorts (optional) Sports bra (for women) Additional tips: You may want to practice barefoot or with grippy socks for better traction. If you have a yoga mat, that's ideal, but a towel or carpeted floor can work in a pinch. Some people prefer to wear a yoga strap or block to assist with certain poses, but these are not essential for beginners Things should avoid: Arrive on time and silence your phone. Respect the peace - avoid chatting during class. Eat lightly beforehand and listen to your body. Focus on your own practice, not others. Wear comfy clothes and don't skip the warmup. Breathe deeply and stay for Savasana (resting pose). Enjoy your yoga class!

Find out more about Sreya

  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

Yoga is a holistic practice originating from ancient India that aims to unite the mind, body, and spirit. It incorporates physical postures, breathing exercises, meditation, and ethical principles to promote overall well-being.

Also for various reasons, some are drawn to its physical benefits, such as increased flexibility, strength, and balance. Others are attracted to its mental and emotional benefits, like stress relief, improved focus, and inner peace. Additionally, the spiritual aspects of yoga, which focus on self-awareness and connection to something greater, appeal to many practitioners.

Overall, people often discover yoga through recommendations from friends or family, by attending classes, or through exposure to media and literature promoting its benefits.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

As I completed my graduation in Naturopathy and Yogic Science and MSC in Yoga therapy, one of the inspiration and motivation is my Achariyas and gurus.
Also, common reasons people choose to teach yoga:

the benefits of yoga: passionate about the practice and want to help others experience the physical, mental, and emotional benefits they've found. Yoga can improve flexibility, strength, stress reduction, and overall well-being.

Help others: Teaching yoga can be a way to empower others and create a positive impact in their lives. Yoga teachers can guide students on a journey of self-discovery and help them connect with their bodies and minds.

Create community: Yoga studios can foster a sense of community, and teachers can play a big role in building that. They can provide a supportive space for students to connect with each other and feel like they belong.

Deepen their own practice: Teaching yoga can be a great way for instructors to learn more about the practice itself. By guiding others, they gain a deeper understanding of the poses, breathing techniques, and philosophy of yoga.
  • How does your work help society?

My work can contribute to the positive impacts of yoga on society in so many ways:

Increased Accessibility: My ability to provide information and answer questions about yoga can make the practice more accessible to people who might not otherwise know where to start. I can offer information about different yoga styles, benefits, and resources for finding classes or online instruction.

Promoting Inclusivity: I can help break down barriers by providing yoga information in a variety of formats and languages. This can open up the practice to people who might not feel welcome in a traditional yoga studio setting or who have physical limitations.

Personalized Learning: I can tailor my responses to individual needs and goals. Someone interested in stress reduction might receive different information than someone looking to improve their flexibility. This personalized approach can make yoga more engaging and effective for a wider range of people.

Combating Misconceptions: There can be a lot of misinformation about yoga. I can help clear up misconceptions and present yoga in an accurate and inclusive way. This can help to dispel stereotypes and encourage more people to give yoga a try.

For an interview, you could focus on one or two of these points and elaborate on how your work specifically addresses a societal need.

    Here's an example:

"Through my ability to provide information about yoga in a clear and accessible way, I can help to break down barriers and make yoga more inclusive for a wider range of people. This is important because yoga offers a wealth of benefits for both physical and mental health, and everyone deserves the opportunity to experience those benefits."
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

So, My parents are basically my role model, lots of reasons for that but among all few I really want to mention. My Parents are fantastic role models for many reasons.

Their Values: my parents exemplify kindness, honesty, hard work, or other qualities you admire. You could mention specific ways they demonstrate these values.

Their Achievements: Are your parents successful in their careers, creative in their hobbies, or dedicated to community service? Their accomplishments can inspire you to pursue your own goals.

Their Relationship: Do your parents have a strong and supportive relationship? Witnessing a healthy partnership can teach you valuable lessons about love and communication.

Their Support: Most importantly, perhaps, your parents likely provide you with unconditional love and encouragement. Their belief in you can be a powerful motivator.
    So on ...
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

Learning a new language, singing, dancing, traveling, exploring the world, meditating, learning new things, and knowing about new projects.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

Within this 6+ years there are so many ..
But I really wanna share where am working now, people might don't have the proper facilities but the love, the respect they have towards me that's create an amazing story amazing experience everyday!
