About Joshua
Hi there, my name is Joshua and I've graduated from University with a Masters in Engineering. I currently work in Construction Management. Within construction, we constantly face issues we have to solve quickly and efficiently to ensure the construction process moves forward. In this job, I've had to refine my communication skills in relaying important information to clients and colleagues - which has helped me explain complicated concepts in a simplified manner. I enjoy what I currently do, but I also have a passion for teaching - currently tutoring friends and family. I also have a great appreciation for the teachers and tutors I had growing up. Ultimately, I wouldn't be where I am today if I hadn't had the guidance, support and techniques from my teachers and tutors and I'd like to share the knowledge I've gained with others.

Tackling maths we'd initially look at the areas that you require help in. Once we spend some time working on homework problems and general maths questions - we can see where you're at in your maths education. From there, we'll go through the basics and work our way through problems together with a step by step process. To do this, we will use the specification and past papers to work through the contents of the GCSE exams. Typically the length of a lesson will be an hour, but it can go as long as required for a concept to be understood. I've attained an A* in GCSE maths and a 2.1 in a Masters in Civil Engineering where it was heavily maths based. I am experienced in tutoring on a 1 to 1 basis and can adapt to the needs of each individual student. These lessons are for GCSE maths students aged from 11-16. Thank you.

Joshua is kind, fun and interactive. Joshua is, also, very patient with his approach and took time to make sure I understood the curriculum. His passion for learning is very contagious and has inspired me to learn subjects that I was uncomfortable with.
