About Lily
Within my own GCSE studies, I developed study skills that allowed me to obtain grades 8 - 6 across my exams, and wish to teach students these study methods to help them. With experience in tutoring secondary school students within my volunteering hours at sixth form and being employed as a debate coach, I am confident in my ability to push students to develop their written and oral skills to create persuasive arguments and engaging pieces.

My first call/video chat with you will be discussing your goals and current studies. Based on this discussion I will create a personalised curriculum for you. I will also tailor the sessions based on what teaching methods work best for you, from breaking down texts together, planning essay questions, or having thought-provoking conversations. Typical sessions will span from 1 - 2 hours, including setting practice questions for students to complete in exam conditions. I am open to teaching both native English speakers and those wanting to advance their language skills. Under the English curriculum, I will take students in years 7 - 11. Also, I am offering ad hoc CV and application writing sessions.

My child Andrew and I moved to the UK about a year ago from Canada, He was finding the new schooling systems difficult to navigate and I reached out to the daughter of a close friend of mine to tutor him. Lily has been an amazing help in helping Andrew understand how to write an essay correctly, and the basics of writing an essay! His grades have improved since the tutoring and he has been a lot more confident in his work. Lily provides so many skill in english such as creating an essay plan for your child and proof reading work to make sure it is exactly what the teacher would like. She is amazing and my little Andrew and I love her! ️
