I am a student and therefore can relate to being in an academic institution at the moment. I have a lot of experience in art as a scholastic subject, as a hobby, and in a professional environment. I will aim to teach passionately and patiently, but most of all to ensure the creative spark is kept alive! So each lesson will be moulded to the student's needs and talents.
I base my classes depended on the clients needs and requirements. I try not to overload within knowledge however if you are the type of student that wants lots of information and knowledge, that that is catered for also.
My teaching method is to use critical analysis and constructive criticism in order to help students make the most of their creative pieces. I would teach students the best ways to write a successful piece, and then I would ask them to put what they have learnt into practice.
I believe that the best way to learn a language is to be immersed in it as much as possible, which is why I try to speak Italian as much as possible even in my beginners lessons - unless the student doesn't feel confident enough! I would never put any pressure on you, my lessons are focused on gaining the confidence (and the vocabulary!) Necessary to speak a second language.
My approach to learning languages is usually through the culture of the countries where they are spoken. Moreover, my focus is on learning in a more natural way, through media (music, films, series) and reading comprehension and conversation with topics of interest for the student. I give lessons to either students up to GCSE/A level or to beginners to intermediate level individuals.
I tend to tutor via Skype, which involves preparing in advance to ensure my students receive structured lessons. The first session consists of a 'traffic light' system whereby my student considers which topics they are most/least confident in. I then analyse which learning style suits my student best and then design a tutoring programme based on this; every student is individual.

My lessons are almost entirely hands-on but sometimes theoretical, I set up subjects within music that the student would like to learn within my capabilities, and cover each subject for a number of weeks. These can vary from the basics of learning the software, understanding and using sampling and synthesis, analogue and digital sound, sound for film, and basics of music theory.
My methodology is grounded in Socratic critical pedagogy, asking the right questions to help my students cultivate their own powers of reason, critical thinking, and argumentation. Consequently, I tailor my tuition to the specific needs of each students. I have particular skills in preparation for university, specifically Oxbridge, applications and in dissertation/thesis editing and supervision.
Filmmaking is filmmaking, no matter what level of education you are at. Student films and professional films both need the same thing: a script. Through story analysis and a step outline to a complete screenplay, I can help you translate your basic idea for a film into a document that can be produced by any team of filmmakers, student or professional.
I always follow bibliography to my lessons: the structure and the progression designed for some editorial are very interesting to follow. This is because this kind of bibliography starts with elementary resources to fix a proper base, and it is increasing the difficulty gradually.
I adapt my teaching method according to my students; there is no one-size-fits-all approach to learning, so it is important to find a method that works for the individual. Having said that, I conduct all my lessons in a positive manner, focussing on encouraging students to engage with the course material.
I tend to find out the goal of the teaching (e.g. exam, syllabus, desired knowledge) and the date which is being worked towards (e.g. exam, coursework deadline, personal goal) and spend the first session working out with the student (and guardians, if relevant), what they want to acheive, try and find out how the student learns best and set preliminary aims/goals with them.
Good planning, and customising my approach to fit each student's needs is crucial for me. My technique is based on thorough explaining of the subject and keeping simplified but inclusive notes in order to facilitate revising. As time is not always on our side, planning ahead, prioritising and focusing on the important information is the way to go.
I love creating material and activities for my lessons. You will be able to check some of this in my blog: (concealed information) I believe creativity, patience and adaptability are the main virtues of a good a teacher, in addition to dedication, motivation and diligence.
Communicative language teaching (CLT) to enable the learners to communicate effectively and appropriately in the various situations they would be likely to find themself in. I teach conversational English and cater my lessons to each individuals goals and interests. I vary the context of my Lessons depending on the student and like to keep activities fun and engaging. I also take great care in preparing lessons using the students preferred learning style to ensure I am providing them with the best learning experience.
My method is learning fast and exercise enough. Every student is different so if you want to improve your level you have to practice as well. My lessons are based on a previous review about the theme that you need to study. In this case I usually asked some exercise to check also the method that you have already studied at school with your ordinary teacher.
I give lessons in maths, chemistry and physics to either GCSE or A-Level students. As there often isn't enough time to cover the entire syllabus I tend to focus on students' weaker areas within their chosen subject. After explaining a topic I like to follow up with exam style questions to test their understanding and re-explain the content if needed.
