About Eliza
With over 9 years of piano teaching experience and a Graduate Diploma in Piano Pedagogy, lessons focus on connecting students emotionally to music. Pedal technique, dynamic control, and phrasing are emphasised from the very first lesson. Students learn to balance technical precision with expressive interpretation. Every session is tailored to individual goals and skill levels. Beginners are guided through fundamentals while advanced learners explore nuance and stylistic depth. I encourage students to feel the music, not just play the notes. Exercises in articulation and touch support a refined, personal sound. Lessons integrate theory, sight-reading, and repertoire to build a solid foundation. I aim to cultivate both confidence and creativity at the piano. Students are supported in developing their unique musical voice. Performance preparation and stage presence are addressed throughout. Learning becomes a rewarding combination of technique, expression, and emotional connection. Together, we create meaningful musical experiences every session.

Lessons are designed to improve sight-reading and rhythmic accuracy through focused, systematic practice. Students work on recognising intervals, reading notes quickly, and translating music to the fingers efficiently. The Child Prodigy receives challenging exercises to sharpen speed and precision. The Hobbyist Adult builds confidence with step-by-step guidance. Each session includes drills on articulation, phrasing, and steady timing. Sight-reading exercises progress gradually, allowing mastery without frustration. Students practise reading new pieces and anticipating patterns. Visual-to-finger coordination is strengthened consistently. Lessons emphasise fluency and musical expression simultaneously. Students develop the ability to play unfamiliar pieces with confidence. Exercises are interactive, engaging, and tailored to individual goals. Lessons combine technical skill with musicality. By focusing on reading skills, students gain independence at the keyboard.
