When it comes to teaching, I specializing in Rock & metal styles - especially progressive subgenres - with a strong background in Pop, Blues, Jazz & Acoustic styles. I have spent many years honing my abilities to play and teach high-level techniques, songwriting/composition, functional music theory for the guitar, practical fretboard awareness.

The lessons I teach are organized around what the students are primarily interested in; the styles, bands, artists, guitarists, etc. whose music you would like to play. Once I know this, it becomes much easier to figure out what skills & knowledge you will need to learn in order to play that music.
When learning to play music, it isn't enough to just know the information for something you playing; work is needed to train the ideas so that they become apart of how you think about the guitar. This takes times to develop, but once you have it down, you will barely have to think about what you are doing when you play. This makes playing music a lot more fun and effortless.
That being said, I organize everything that you can learn on the guitar into five categories: Technique, Fretboard Awareness, Music Theory, Sensory Awareness, & Repertoire. By simplifying what you have to learn into these five groups, it makes practice and learning much more straightforward. It also means that you always know what to work on to help you improve as a guitarist.
