About Carly
I am a Physics tutor with over 6 years of experience and an MPhys. I specialize in biophysics and the physics of living systems, helping students connect physical principles to biological phenomena. My lessons focus on making complex topics like molecular motors, membrane transport, nerve impulses, and biomechanics clear and engaging. I guide learners step by step, combining theory with practical examples and problem-solving exercises. Many of my students are biology majors, pre-med students, or learners interested in understanding the physical foundations of life. I emphasize both conceptual understanding and analytical skills, ensuring students can apply physics to real biological systems. My goal is to help students excel while appreciating the role of physics in living systems. Each session builds confidence and critical thinking. I enjoy showing how physical laws govern biological processes and inspiring curiosity. Together, we explore the intricate workings of life through the lens of physics, making learning both meaningful and exciting.

My approach to teaching Physics focuses on clarity, strong concepts, and effective problem-solving. I cover topics relevant to AP Physics, including mechanics, electricity, magnetism, and waves. Lessons combine concept review with practical examples to help students understand principles deeply.
I use targeted drills, practice tests, and step-by-step guidance to strengthen skills and speed. Students learn strategies for tackling multiple-choice and free-response questions efficiently. I support learners in identifying common pitfalls and improving accuracy, ensuring they feel confident with challenging material.
The goal is to help students excel in both understanding and exam performance. Each session builds confidence, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. With focused practice and guidance, learners are prepared to achieve high scores and master Physics concepts for both tests and future studies.
