I understand that subjects, especially Mathematics and the sciences, may not be taught in an accessible way. Many concepts can be confusing and are not necessarily explained in ways that encourage true understanding.
I try to use simple approaches that are interactive but thorough. I make sure there is a step by step grasp of the subjects by my students. I use progressive challenges to test understanding and would often have major assessments to ascertain total grasp of modules.
I've made students who were failing their degree studies become university toppers (references provided upon request). Results for 2016/7: 100% A*-B grades achieved. I also offer help with assignments / projects at undergraduate/postgraduate levels. Q.
How I teach ? Well, I’m very flexible when it comes to teaching methods. Anything that works best for you works for me as well.
Having taught some of the keenest minds in the world at the Universities of Oxford and London and also struggling school students, (as well as struggling University students and bright-as-buttons schoolchildren!), I believe it is absolutely essential to tailor the teaching style to the requirements of the individual. Pupils have hugely varying aptitudes for different parts of a syllabus.
I believe in tutoring 1 to 1 since it will be easier for the tutee to ask questions and not feel embarassed in front of other people. Also, I like to first explain any doubts or topics needed by the tutee and, more importantly, help them solving and understanding exercises, which will give them a chance to apply what they have learnt.
My teaching style is to build my own papers and questions that are more difficult than standard exam questions, and then work through them with students using rules and methodology which prove the effectiveness of those methods in other less difficult questions.
I am a third year undergraduate student studying Chemistry MSci at King's College London, currently tracking at a 1st. I tutor secondary school, GCSE, BTEC and AS/A2 Level. My lessons would include an in depth explanation in certain areas that the student finds difficult. Followed by questions and working through some harder examples.
I can tailor my classes to the needs of the student, focussing on the most pressing curricula. I will run through a number of test questions before guiding the student through mock exam questions. It's important that the student learns key principles moreso than simply exam techniques.
My teaching method is based on the CAS, pass papers, personally marked work and pin pointing students difficult areas and helping to improve them I come with a useful collection of notes to aid the student and save them unnecessary wasted Tim when revising and plan to amir there work as they go along with the course
my method of teaching is by attempting. id quickly explain the fundamentals but take time during the actual attempt to solve a problem. breaking the problem down to individual parts so its easier to take in.
I try to focus my methodology on what the student wants to gain from the lesson. If it’s exam technique we can work on that. I can shift to conceptual learning and to even techniques on how to memorise things. In most cases I try to understand the preferred learning style of all my students so that they are able to remain engaged and learn in a way that suits them.
I possess a strong passion that I invest in teaching via theoretical and practical examples. I use to understand students' needs and implement those into the subjects I have to teach. So do you need a tutor who perfectly understands your needs? Here I am.
I like to tailor my tuition depending on the student's individual needs as I understand and respect that each student is unique. The first step I take in my approach to tutoring new students is to understand and assess their strengths and weaknesses. I use different styles and methods of teaching depending upon the student's ability and attitude.
My teaching method is to understand the students requirements and bespoke the lesson around the outcome that they require to make sure that the student gets the best out of the lesson and understands the subject by the time the lessons finishes.
I am a former research scientist who has pursued a passion for teaching since my days as a doctoral student. I can teach a wide range of subject matter in the sciences. I like students to gain understanding with as much 'hands-on' work as possible. I have a love for Science and Maths that runs deep and allows me to answer questions with confidence, which I actively encourage.
My teaching style is friendly and supportive. I engage my pupils well in learning because I speak at their level during lessons. Have taught Physics and Mathematics to KS3, KS4 and KS5 students. Knowing students' prior knowledge is a key.
I leave the topics covered entirely up to the student and can help with homework, revise material covered in the preceding week, prepare for exams, help with university preparation or stretch beyond the curriculum. I like to make the student feel comfortable to ask me anything, knowing that I am there only to help them progress.
My teaching methodology is primarily tailored to the student; having said that, more often than not the student may only need their confidence building.
I will skills developed during my graduate, postgraduate and research career to present lessons. I am an experienced electrochemist, I offer math, numerical methods including finite difference, boundary element and Monte Carlo method, and chemistry lessons to A-level, undergraduate and postgraduate.
My teaching method is progressive development of the student. I'm giving highest priority to find the level of understanding of the student in a particular subject, then find the defects in basics, then mentor the correct knowledge about that particular subject.
My teaching method is based on e-learning lessons that are either topic based on the subject or tailored to suit my students individual requirements and progress, using appropriately referenced e-learning material/videos, relevant textbooks and explanations and worked examples to suit.
I am able to teach chemistry from GCSE level up to degree level. No two students are identical, so I place emphasis on a flexible, adaptive teaching style that caters to the demands of the individual student. I like to teach in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. My methodology revolves around developing a strong basic foundation in science and analysis, and developing interest in the field.
My teaching method is very much based in analogies, and utilisation of the intuition and understanding of the macro world we live in to relate to chemical concepts. This works especially well for explaining the laws of thermodynamics.
I start classes by asking what areas the student is struggling with. I explain the basic concepts pertaining to the problem area and then go through questions with them on that subject until they are comfortable enough to approach the problem by themselves, explaining more complicated concepts when crossed upon.
My teaching method is to focus on one topic per lesson to ensure sufficient detail is covered. In addition, after a few sessions covering similar topics I like to do summary lessons and short tests to identify what has learnt well, what hasn't and why.
Mine would be very hands on, walking you through the basics and walking you to a level where you would be confident with the whole course. I feel context helps with learning so a discussion of the course would be included as well as my own experiences with the experiments I may have performed that are related.
I approach each topic by breaking down the content and identifying how each sub topic relates to others. I would then look to see what sort of content is involved so that I can see if it something that can be memorised or requires practice. Once a sufficient amount of knowledge of the subject is obtained by the student I would begin to introduce lots of practice questions and previous exam papers.
I am an undergraduate giving lessons in chemistry and biology to secondary school students. I believe learning should be fun and interactive. I use various methods to help understanding of the topic which will allow the application of knowledge to any question given. I am patient, friendly and approachable and want all my students to feel comfortable in our lessons.
My lessons will focus on targeting the areas that a student finds most challenging in an exam curriculum and explaining it in depth. Subsequently, examples of problems related to the content discussed will be discussed. In this part, the student may bring forth challenging questions ; otherwise, I will consider a number of possible typical questions.
