About Lily
I am currently in year 13 but have been tutoring since lockdown. Not only have I helped a girl in primary school to become much more comfortable with mathematics and English, but helped a year 11 student successfully pass their crucial English GCSE. I want to be a primary school teacher when I graduate from University and find tutoring a rewarding practice for this.

I have to gage the ability and knowledge of the student in the first session to find out what approach will be best for them. However, I tend to focus on essay theory and teaching students how to navigate a question for themselves. This results in a few homework tasks every week to help them work on the techniques we learn in a session. Once a student learns key essay skills that can be put in practice themselves I can go into further detail for revision techniques, providing students with quote sheets and practice questions.
