About Irena
I am available as a home tutor for English language for students of Classes 9 to 12 in Lucknow (Hazratganj and nearby areas). I have been writing for over two decades – first, as a full-time professional journalist in the newsrooms of top English-language newspapers in New Delhi, and after taking early voluntary retirement, as an independent contributor of opinion pieces to reputed publications. Recently, I have taken to writing and self-publishing poems. I also briefly read English news at All India Radio and did a couple of voice-overs for media organizations. I now want to transfer my knowledge and skills to children and young adults. I plan to focus on creative writing, comprehension and critical analysis, and the ability to speak English effectively. I would be teaching from the syllabus provided by the school of the student.
