About Bellasa
Music is a lifelong journey, and I believe that starting—or continuing—that journey with the flute can bring immense joy and fulfillment, no matter your age. I work primarily with adult learners, especially those 50 and over, who are either revisiting the flute after many years or discovering it for the first time. My teaching style is built on the understanding that each person has their own unique pace, goals, and learning style. I encourage students to approach learning with curiosity and patience, as we work together to break down complex concepts into manageable, enjoyable steps. From the first lesson, you’ll begin to explore how to make sound on the flute, how to position your body for the most effective playing, and how to start producing beautiful, controlled notes. As your confidence grows, we expand into developing technique, phrasing, and musicality. I bring a blend of traditional flute techniques with modern technology, using things like personalized practice videos, interactive rhythm exercises, and play-along tracks. Whether you want to play in a local group, perform for family and friends, or simply play for the pure enjoyment it brings, I tailor each lesson to your personal objectives. My goal is not only to teach you how to play the flute but to help you establish a lifelong connection to music that will bring you both personal satisfaction and joy. Through steady, gentle guidance and a focus on continuous improvement, you’ll gain both skill and confidence as a musician.

My flute lessons are designed to be a refuge—a place where learning is joyful, goals are personal, and every small step is celebrated. I specialize in working with adults, particularly those over 50, who are stepping into or returning to music. I understand that your journey may involve previous doubts or inconsistent experiences with music learning, and I meet that with patience and practical support. I combine time-tested technique with innovative tools like interactive practice logs, “smart metronomes,” and ear-training exercises that build musical memory. You’ll learn to hear yourself more clearly, play more expressively, and gain the tools to practice with purpose at home. Above all, I emphasize connection: connection to your breath, to the music, and to your own creative spark.
