About Dawid
graduated from my Masters in Mathematics with First Class Honours. I placed second nationally in my Maths GCSE and top of my school in Maths A-Level.

I am of the opinion that students are capable of much more than they usually think. People are capable of developing the courage to go past the limits they feel from within or even without, when they are in conditions or an environment of their choice, where they feel the most comfortable and supported.
For sure I have no doubts about Maths being a means of expressing numeric values. However, it is not the explanation of how to use the math that seems to be the real problem but rather the fact that I have heard people refer to themselves as incapable of understanding it. The language or even the phrase would be out of context to a person even who does not speak Spanish. Most likely such a person would not consider themselves too dull to learn a language but would rather assume that with hard work and appealing to their persistence they could speak that language. That is the point of view with which I wish for my students to approach maths.
I wish to take students and show them that regardless of their self-perceptions, they have what it takes to do math even if they don't see themselves as a "$maths person$".
I have a preference to teach with a lot of illustrative examples, utilising clear cut procedures in order to determine what the student knows and what their problem areas are. "Everything is difficult until you know how to do it," I frequently advise the students. It is something that I have endured in many situations in life; I consider some things as incredibly complex until I learn it or it is taught to me properly. As I think back to this moment, I understand how it was not so terrible in the first place. This is the location that I want to assist pupils in reaching, where they will reflect on everything and appreciate that it wasn't excessively hard for them, they simply needed a little assistance during that period.
