About ISEB Common Entrance Exam 13+
The Common Entrance exam for 13+ is utilized by senior schools to evaluate potential candidates for admission. Typically, students in Year 8 take this exam either in the Spring or, more frequently, the Summer term. While papers are also created in the Autumn term, they are generally employed for practice or mock exams. At the 13+ level, students will be tested in English, Maths, and Science.
The Common Entrance (CE) exam offers flexibility to candidates from schools that do not provide preparation for the complete set of CE subjects, allowing them to take a reduced number of papers. Moreover, core subjects such as modern languages, Latin, and Classical Greek are available at multiple levels. Candidates are not required to attempt papers that exceed their level of proficiency.
