About Roshni Maria
Hi, I’m Roshni — a maths tutor with a Master’s degree in Mathematics and a deep passion for helping others succeed in a subject many find challenging. My journey began in secondary school, when classmates would come to me for help with tricky maths problems. I started tutoring at that young age, simply because I loved maths — the logic, the puzzles, the satisfaction of getting it right. That early love led me to complete a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Mathematics from Calicut University, specialising in areas like graph theory, number theory, and applied maths. Since then, I’ve taught in schools, colleges, and as a private tutor in India, Australia, and now the UK. I’m currently a Teaching Assistant and also worked as Learning Support Assistant, where I support GCSE maths learners — including students with autism, ADHD, and dyslexia — helping them build confidence and believe in their ability. I teach because I believe everyone can “get” maths with the right support. It’s not about being naturally good at it — it’s about the way it’s taught. My aim is to make maths accessible, engaging, and even enjoyable — no stress, no jargon, just clear explanations and patient support.
