I prefer to have the first lesson to analyze the syllabus and allocate how much time we should spend on each topic. Once I have completed a topic, i give practice questions to give a more practical application and guage the students understanding. After i have completed the syllabus and questions specific to topics, i then give past exam papers which i mark and give feedback.
My teaching method is as hands-on as possible. I will ask them to try and solve the problem as much as they can and then explain step-by-step how to solve it showing how it differed from their attempt. With children who find it easier to visual the problem I will use 3D models and props to help teach them.
I currently teach KS3, IGCSE and A-Level Maths at an international school, where I specialise in Cambridge International Examinations. My lessons consist of doing a starter based on a previous topic or background knowledge needed for the new topic. Then I teach the concept, do a couple of examples and I let pupils try exercises on their own, with scaffolding if needed.
i did find from my own experience is that people learn things differently and at different paces; when students struggle with a subject, it’s usually because their learning style conflicts with the style or pace with which it is being taught. Tutoring one on one gives the opportunity to learn at the student’s optimal pace.
I'm a motivated and dedicated student Of mechanical engineering with extensive tutoring experience in Physics, Chemistry and mathematics. I’ve been teaching these subjects privately to GCSE/O-LEVEL and Alevel students from 4 years now helping 100's of students achieve their academic goals. I on average manage to get my students achieve 2 grades higher than their predicted grades..
I am a qualified Performing Arts teacher who has also been teaching Maths in private tuitions for more than 25 years.
I give Statistics lessons to University students (All levels) , and Maths lessons to high school students (All levels) and College students (All levels). I also give advise in dissertation and thesis preparation. I assess each student and work with him/her based on his/her individual need.
I tailor my sessions entirely on my students and work off their strengths and weaknesses. They control what content we cover and time allocation on each topic.
When you're really stuck with Maths, it sucks, isn't it? I remember how a little bit of one to one tutoring had helped me develop a logical way of tackling problems. My teaching focuses on the following: 1. Reading the question damn right 2. Visualising what it's asking 3. Going backwards 4. Consider quicker alternative methods (i.e. symmetry) 5. Understanding of the concepts 6.
I am a petroleum engineer with experience in field and in research as well, currently doing a MSc. I have taught to University students mainly studying engineering or areas involved with maths. But I have also taught to students in secondary or high school from basic algebra, trigonometry to multi variable calculus. I have taught to small groups (3 or 4 people) or individually.
My lessons are personally tailored to you and your specific needs, to help you get the best results at all levels of CIE mathematics, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus. My lessons will be very conversational, helping you to understand the mathematical concepts.
I like to teach via the Socratic Method pedagogy. This involves asking questions to encourage the formulation of answers as the true learning outcome. This is especially important in the subjects I wish to teach as concepts shouldn't just be remembered but understood to provide a solid foundation for future modules.
In my opinion the most important part of tutoring is the relationship between the tutor and the student. If there is a strong and respectful bond between the two, there are guaranteed results of progress for the pupil and the tutor! Rewards and a positive learning environment also play a lead role in a child’s progress.
I am a qualified maths teacher with previous experience teacher all abilities from the age of 11-16. I also have experience with working in a tutoring centre that tutored from the age of 5 up. I have a 2:1 bachelors degree with honours in Economics.
Before our first lesson I like to have a 15 minute orientation call, this will ensure you're happy with the structure of my tutoring. During our lessons we can work on past papers or you can send me your completed work for review before our lessons. I will also include a brief parental consultation after between lessons.
I base my lessons on understanding of students. I use technology to make students understand math contents easily. Even if they have difficulties in math, I believe in that with some effort, they can overcome all these difficulties. Also homework will help us in this process.
- I have qualifications in Mathematics to an A-Level Standards, achieving the highest grades possible in iGCSE Mathematics (A*), Further Mathematics (OCR, A**) and A-Level Mathematics (OCR MEI, A*). I can provide specific exam preparation or provide support to students who are having problems in mathematics.
I'm currently studying Physics with Astrophysics and Cosmology MPhys (Hons) at Portsmouth University and I offer Maths and Physics lessons to First Year Degree level downwards (i.e. A Levels and GCSE Level and below) My teaching will be relaxed and we'll go at your pace, if you struggle to understand something there will always be an explanation of it that you will.
I graduated from UC Berkeley and moved to London 3 years ago. I love math and love education but think one on one tutoring or small group learning can really help children learn in school and excel. I love math and have enjoyed it my whole life- but have always done well in other subjects as well. My mother is an English and history teacher so I have been blessed with her teaching genes as well.
I am a second year Computer Games Technology Student at University of Portsmouth. My past experience as a trainer gave me the ability to understand how a subject should be presented to a person even if they don’t have any interest at all.
I am teacher with 14 years of experience at secondary level. I am qualified History teacher with lots of experience teaching maths as well. My lessons are fun, innovative and challenging with a focus on exam preparation.
I don't have muchexperience at teaching as it isn't something I've done before. Though having a sister and younger relatives I'm very good with kids and hence this makes me quite interested in teaching. Myself I'm only 16 years old and being somewhat closer to these primary and secondary ages I feel that I know better than anyone on how to teach the subject.
I have a very good understanding of the national curriculum and an excellent knowledge of all the subjects I teach. With that I can go into as much and as little detail as needed. I always find a way of linking subjects together and I break everything down to a simple explanations.
I enjoy teaching and do not think of it as a job. I am flexible to the students' needs and do not follow a rigid teaching method. I direct the students to be able to figure out the solutions on their own rather than just helping them with homework.
My teaching method is very interactive, practical and full of life. I put my heart into what I do. I teach with practical examples and offer tailored advice on how to approach your exams. I also conduct progress checks as we journey through the lessons. It is never a dull moment. 100% money back guarantee.
My teaching method is simple, starting from the theory and then going towards practical dealing of subject so make students understand well.Happy to answer queries at all time.Won't run with the course, can teach as long as the student wants on any problem area.
My teaching method is to go over the things that the student is currently working on and find out any weak areas. We then work on those particular areas more thoroughly whilst making sure they are keeping up with everything else. I also often look over past test papers and use those to prepare the student for their exams. As well as this I can offer help with any other homework or class work.
I am a college level student garnering multiple awards in Mathematics and reliably teach anyone who wishes to excel in their next GCSE Maths exam. My methods centralize around dilution: I start from the backbone and skeleton of the subject then work to slowly integrate difficulty in the questions.
I understand that to some people, Maths might as well be in a different language! Everyone learns differently, but I find that relating Maths to everyday life makes it much more accessible to my students, and if it's logical and relatable it's much more likely to be remembered too. I prefer using past papers to teach, as I feel it's the most helpful way of preparing for an exam.
I prepare students for the exam by going through past paper questions and explaining in an easy way to understand, how they can reach the answer. I teach maths up to A-level or first year of most degree requiring maths.
