My name is Anri. I've lived in Greece for 11 years and in Italy for 12 years. I've got a Master's degree in building engineering and I've been tutoring for almost a decade now. I know that it is difficult for a student to comprehend some subjects and that's why I never give for granted anything.
I believe firmly in lessons based around active learning as both maths and chemistry are hands on subjects. This revolves around introducing a concept, a worked example and then working through plenty of questions exploring a variety of applications of the concept.
I am a passionate, enthusiastic and resilient newly qualified teacher of mathematics. I'm trained to teach children in the 11-18 age range (secondary school) . However, with my Qualified teacher and PGCE status, I can teach in primary school too. I believe every child should be encouraged to explore how far they can go to achieve their very best in mathematics.
My teaching method is very unique & suits each individual depending on their topics which they would like to focus on & I always ask them to do homework in order to understand their work so they can come out with the best grades possible
I currently teach KS3, IGCSE and A-Level Maths at an international school, where I specialise in Cambridge International Examinations. My lessons consist of doing a starter based on a previous topic or background knowledge needed for the new topic. Then I teach the concept, do a couple of examples and I let pupils try exercises on their own, with scaffolding if needed.
A highly motivated and dedicated student Of mechanical engineering with extensive tutoring experience in Physics, Chemistry and mathematics. I’ve been teaching these subjects privately to GCSE/O-LEVEL and Alevel students from 4 years now helping 100's of students achieve their academic goals. I on average manage to get my students achieve 2 grades higher than their predicted grades..
I am a qualified Performing Arts teacher who has also been teaching Maths in private tuitions for more than 25 years.
I have experience in teaching Mathematics for the Secondary level in Bangladesh. I think here I can teach Mathematics to the primary level students. At first, before starting my lesson I would like to talk with student/s and parents to find out the priorities. I approach with simple to the complex method for solving the mathematical problems.
I have a passion for maths and believe that it doesn't have to be a worrying subject. I have a range of tools and ideas which I have used during my own experiences with maths (both for real life examples and during exams), which I would love to share with students or mature learners looking to strengthen their skills with numbers.
MSci Chemistry undergraduate student at University College London with a keen interest in sharing my passion to others towards chemistry and maths. I am patient, friendly and enjoy teaching. My main goal is to improve my tutee's grades, confidence and most of all their strong fundamental understanding towards the subject.
I tailor my sessions entirely on my students and work off their strengths and weaknesses. They control what content we cover and time allocation on each topic.
I have only had experience teaching GCSE and A Level, but would consider helping out undergraduates. As a scientist, I wholeheartedly believe in the value of teaching from first principles. You don't have to remember how to do something if you understand the concept. I also did not achieve my full potential in A Level, but I went on to achieve well at university.
When you're really stuck with Maths, it sucks, isn't it? I remember how a little bit of one to one tutoring had helped me develop a logical way of tackling problems. My teaching focuses on the following: 1. Reading the question damn right 2. Visualising what it's asking 3. Going backwards 4. Consider quicker alternative methods (i.e. symmetry) 5. Understanding of the concepts 6.
I am a petroleum engineer with experience in field and in research as well, currently doing a MSc. I have taught to University students mainly studying engineering or areas involved with maths. But I have also taught to students in secondary or high school from basic algebra, trigonometry to multi variable calculus. I have taught to small groups (3 or 4 people) or individually.
I am a Blackpool Sixth Form College student who is taking A-level Maths, A-level Chemistry, A-level Biology. For my GCSE maths I was in the top 2% of the country and achieved an A**. I am quite good at slowing methods down and explaining stuff step-by-step.
I'm happy to teach Maths to anyone up to A-Level standard. I have experience with children from a young age and believe in making lessons enjoyable and relatable so the student is not worried about making mistakes or completing homework but rather feels comfortable with the subject.
I always endeavour to produce a comfortable yet efficient teaching environment in which the student is motivated to learn and has access to the right tools and knowledge to do so. I am very aware and understanding of the fact that every student learns differently and at different paces and so I make it a necessity to tailor each session to the individual to ensure maximum learning and happiness.
I am a passionate maths teacher. I teach in all grades of different levels. A lesson structure starts with homework questions, new topic explanation with group work and individual work. My methodology is based on spiral method. I usually put the idea of a topic in a student’s head, than during next lessons make them assimilate the topic with more challenging problems.
I would only really give lessons to those students who really want to learn as i believe they are the students who thrive and this is usually A-level students. The style of my teaching is different for every student because no student is the same, but i always make sure that i never leave the student behind, only proceeding once the student is happy.
The aspect of work that most distinguishes the top students from the rest is the number of past questions they complete. For this reason my classes general follow a pattern of me teaching for around a third of our time, completing questions based on that topic for the next third and then completing questions on topics previously encountered for the final third.
In my opinion the most important part of tutoring is the relationship between the tutor and the student. If there is a strong and respectful bond between the two, there are guaranteed results of progress for the pupil and the tutor! Rewards and a positive learning environment also play a lead role in a child’s progress.
I am a qualified maths teacher with previous experience teacher all abilities from the age of 11-16. I also have experience with working in a tutoring centre that tutored from the age of 5 up. I have a 2:1 bachelors degree with honours in Economics.
I give casual lessons to people I know or who are struggling in GCSE Maths, Chemistry or any other STEM subjects. I have also taught Primary School children Year 6 Maths ready for their SATs, every Wednesday after school. I am techniques are going through the specification and having small sessions, where I bring exam questions or go through anything that they unsure about.
I have successfully tutored in GCSE Maths, Science and English, as well as for the 11+. Furthermore, I taught on a weekly basis, for a year, at a local primary school. My academic record is excellent (I achieved 10 A*s at GCSE and am currently awaiting my IB results).
I base my lessons on understanding of students. I use technology to make students understand math contents easily. Even if they have difficulties in math, I believe in that with some effort, they can overcome all these difficulties. Also homework will help us in this process.
I am a first year university student. I can give lessons to anyone ranging from year five to sixth form. We will meet either on Skype or in person thrice a week for an hour. The frequency of the sessions might increase based on your level of understanding. We will take the first session to access your level of understanding and go from there.
I'm currently studying Physics with Astrophysics and Cosmology MPhys (Hons) at Portsmouth University and I offer Maths and Physics lessons to First Year Degree level downwards (i.e. A Levels and GCSE Level and below) My teaching will be relaxed and we'll go at your pace, if you struggle to understand something there will always be an explanation of it that you will.
My name is Jonathan Mason I am a Psychology Graduate and currently study masters of education. I have worked in education for several years now. I have been a teaching assistant and tutor for students with a range of difficulties and challenges and understand the complexities of learning.
I am a young curious Electrical Engineering Student in my Penultimate year. Having Studied Physics for 5years- 3 years in Secondary School(GCSE Equivalent) and 2years IBO diploma, I am very enthusiastic about sharing the knowledge i have gained from previous experience. I have also participated in Genius Olympiad in the United States and BPho in the UK.
I don't have muchexperience at teaching as it isn't something I've done before. Though having a sister and younger relatives I'm very good with kids and hence this makes me quite interested in teaching. Myself I'm only 16 years old and being somewhat closer to these primary and secondary ages I feel that I know better than anyone on how to teach the subject.
