About Javed
I am University Student studying BSc Hons Computer Science in my 3rd Year (Final)
I have been Teaching Maths to students for over 4 years now, with high level of experience in teaching and assessing students, helping them acheive their target grades/above.
Im very passionate about Maths and believe that anyone can be good at it. Its about how you as an individual get a grasp of the subject regardless of what revision techniques suit best for you. In the end, you will start to appreciate the subject more. I've said to all my students in the past, maths is not all about tricky numbers and complicated questions. Its breaking the question into smaller chunks, anaylysing, reading carefully and then actually solving it.
My approach to teaching maths with the use of ICT, allows students to interact with their learning and makes learning a much enjoyable experience.
With weekly homeworks and plenty of exam style questions to practise in lessons, students will become much more confident and progress can be reflected in their school work.
I'm a calm and patient tutor, who isn't there to make students feel intimidated rather assure them that making mistakes in their learning is ok. Its what helps them to become better learners!
I'm always encouraging all students to ask me for help if they're unsure about what was being taught in my lessons. This way it allows that direct communication and anything students were unsure about can be addressed and made clear to them. Having that trust relationship with students is important with any subject.
I always take pride in ensuring that all my lessons are the best they can possibly be, that way it gives me satisfaction knowing that I planned my lessons effectively to help my students learn all topics thoroughly.
Finally, I look forward to meeting new students and helping them to achieve his/her potential.

Every Lesson will begin with Starter Activities.
This will be a set of Questions ideally 1 - 2, refreshing from previous lesson. This helps me as a Tutor to know if the student has remembered what was taught last lesson and that if they are on track in terms of their progress.
Once they have answered the Starter Questions, we will go over what they have done and solutions will be provided. Students will get a clear indication of what they done well?, what they have missed out?, what they need to do so they are confident next time?
The new lesson is then introduced. Examples are provided with a clear methodology.
Students will then have an attempt at set of Questions where they will use the example Questions as guide to their learning.
We then review everything in class to make sure we understood what to do and how to show correct method when working out.
Finally, lesson is reviewed with plenary:

Even Better If....
This is a great way for myself to know how the student found my lesson, what they enjoyed the most part of their learning? Have they got a clear understanding of what to do? What can be done better next time?
It also allows the students to reflect on thier learning as an individual and helps them to set targets for next lesson and prepare for assessments.
Homework tasks can then be introduced if students will be set homework for that week.
