About Shahz
I have been teaching AQA GSCE English language to students for 2 years voluntarily at my sixth form before moving to Manchester. Therefore, this gives me first hand experience with the grading and writing style of the new GCSE's and the expectations the exam boards have on students.
I did A level English, which gives me personal experience with the A-level side of it too, and has increased my breath of the subject alongside improving the depth of my language analysis.
I taught 7 students throughout the 2 years most of them in year 11 when we started and by the end of the academic year each had passed with higher than expected grades. I had a few students in their literature exams achieve 8/9's! Throughout their mocks each student improved every time and felt more confident and comfortable with approaching the questions in the paper.
I always adjust my style and approach tot hat of the student and aim to make them feel comfortable and at ease in a space where they can honest about the troubles they face with English. I want them to be honest with me so we can work together and I can support them in any way I possibly can, the student really is my first priority to whom I dedicate a lot to.

I'm an approachable, friendly and positive tutor who always tailors her lessons to that of the student's wishes!
My lessons are aimed towards students of all ability's hoping to challenge and excel them as much as possible. I offer challenging content in my lessons for those student who are hoping fo the best grades possible whilst keeping them light and fun at the same time. I aim for my lessons to be a place where the students find ease and comfort in bettering their English language, an atmosphere that feels less like a classroom and more like a coffee revision get-together with a friend!

Details
A standard one hour lesson will last 60mins, with a rate of £20. I will give a free 30 min trial lesson to allow us to get to know each other, and you, as the student can see how my teaching style fits to your needs! Within the trial lesson we'll go through a small topic or question discussed beforehand so you can get a real experience of how the lessons with me would work :)
