About Riya
I hold an MSc in Astrophysics and have been teaching physics for over four years. My passion for the subject extends far beyond equations and formulas — I am fascinated by the history of physics and the experiments that transformed our understanding of the universe. I love exploring how Galileo’s inclined plane experiments challenged centuries-old beliefs, or how Newton’s laws became the foundation of modern mechanics. In my lessons, we often dive into the elegance of Maxwell’s equations and how they unified electricity, magnetism, and light. I also guide students through the thrilling breakthroughs of the quantum revolution, where bold ideas reshaped science at its core. These stories are not just about discoveries — they are about the intellectual courage and curiosity that drive progress. I help students appreciate the scientific method as a tool for uncovering truth, even when it challenges established thinking. My teaching approach in Physics is nurturing, personalized, and designed to help students master concepts through both theory and practical application. I believe learning is most effective when it connects to real-world situations, so I often use examples from everyday life and cutting-edge science. Alongside core topics, I integrate computer modeling, data visualization, numerical methods, and the basics of scientific programming.
This combination allows students to explore physics computationally and see how simulations can explain complex phenomena. I guide them step-by-step in using digital tools to analyze, predict, and visualize results. These skills not only enhance their academic performance but also prepare them for research and modern scientific careers.
I create a safe and encouraging environment where curiosity is valued, and questions are always welcome. Students learn to think critically, test their ideas, and refine their understanding through experimentation. I also provide regular guidance and feedback so they can track progress and stay motivated.
Through simulation and computational exploration, learners gain a deeper, more intuitive grasp of physics. We celebrate not just the correct answers, but also the problem-solving process and creative approaches. My goal is to help every student excel, grow in confidence, and appreciate the powerful role computation plays in advancing physics.
