About Gemma
With over seven years of experience in programming and education, I’ve dedicated my career to helping learners think logically and code confidently. My teaching bridges the gap between theoretical learning and hands-on development. I believe in teaching the why behind every function, not just the how. My sessions are interactive and conversational — students build, break, and fix code while learning how algorithms mirror everyday problem-solving. This practical exploration builds lasting understanding. My Python lessons are crafted to make coding intuitive, practical, and enjoyable. We begin with the fundamentals — syntax, variables, and loops — and quickly progress into functions, data structures, and object-oriented programming. Each concept is introduced with live coding examples that connect directly to real-world applications.
I prioritize learning by doing. Students write scripts, automate tasks, and analyze datasets, developing a hands-on understanding of programming logic. Every session involves solving meaningful problems that build both coding fluency and analytical reasoning.
To make Python more engaging, I integrate projects such as data visualization, web scraping, and simple game development. These projects not only strengthen technical skills but also spark creativity and collaboration. Students see their code transform into tangible results they can be proud of.
