About Shama
I am currently an interior architecture design student at university, with a passion for helping younger kids get better in a subject that they struggle in. Considering once upon a time I was that same young girl who struggled in certain subjects, I took reins of this situation and became the best student I can, acing my GCSE’s and A Levels, passing every subject and gaining an A and an A* in both English Language and English Literature. I’d love to use my methods and my knowledge to help students learn and understand their subject better, leading them to passing and getting an amazing grade to be proud of. Being a recent student who studied A Levels in 2023, and GCSE’s in 2021, I understand the pressure and stress that exams bring, or even homework. Hence why I can do the best job I can, at guaranteeing you an amazing end result!

I provide tutoring sessions to students aged 11-16, with each lesson ranging anywhere between 1-3 hours, completely up to the student themselves, whatever they may be comfortable with. As an English tutor, I take a student-centred approach, tailoring my lessons to meet individual needs, goals, and learning styles. I primarily use Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) to foster real-world speaking and listening skills, while integrating the PPP method (Presentation, Practice, Production) for structured language development. I use a mix of digital materials but also hands-on learning to keep learners motivated.
