About Emily
I am a Physics tutor with over a decade of experience and a degree in Physics with Materials Science. My main teaching focus is astrophysics and cosmology, where I specialize in black holes, stellar evolution, relativity, and the Big Bang theory. Students often find these topics overwhelming, but I make them approachable with visual models and storytelling. Many of my learners are space enthusiasts from astronomy clubs or aspiring astrophysicists. I support their passion by combining academic rigor with engaging teaching methods. My lessons emphasize both the beauty and logic of the universe. I encourage learners to think critically about how scientific laws explain cosmic events. Each session is interactive and designed to spark curiosity. Students gain confidence as they explore difficult concepts step by step. I adapt my approach to match different learning styles and goals. My teaching highlights discovery as much as knowledge. If you are curious about the universe, I’ll help you explore it with clarity and excitement.

Physics is about asking questions and finding answers through inquiry, and my teaching reflects this. I focus on experimental design, data analysis, error propagation, and scientific reporting. These skills help learners think like scientists and communicate their ideas clearly. My approach is gentle, patient, and reflective, creating a safe space for exploration. DIY Scientists and Curiosity-Driven Learners benefit most, as I support their creativity and independence. Lessons begin with relatable examples that connect to daily life. I guide students through the process of designing experiments step by step. Data analysis is taught through applied practice, making results meaningful. Error propagation is explained carefully, reducing confusion and building confidence. Reporting is practiced as a structured way of telling the story of discovery. Discussions are interactive and encourage critical thinking. Each learner is supported at their own pace and style. My sessions foster independence, curiosity, and assurance in Physics. Together, we make scientific inquiry both approachable and rewarding.
