Find what y will be when x=40 degrees 2) Sketch the curve for one positive and one negative cycle and then on your graph determine the x value when y is 9

The first thing to check is that your calculator is switched to degrees. Your expression is probably missing some brackets. Is the first angle you want two thirds of forty minus sixty? Minus 13.33 degrees? If so then y = 5.614. Work this out yourself and see if you agree. If you do then it's worth trying part 2).
