Solve this system of equations using the addition method.

x + y = 8 x - y = 2

Answers
The basic idea is that if A=B and C=D, then A+C = B+D Your two equations are x+y=2 and 8x-y=2. So x+y+8x-y = 2+2. Could you carry on from there?
