how did bristol grown in 1850 1900 1950

these is a topic on cities and the patterns in cities

You can get population information online for the city: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol#Historical_population_records which gives you an idea of growth, but I was also thinking about all those suburbs that weren't built in 1850 - think about how old the houses are. Pretty much the whole of South Bristol would have been little villages in 1850. Where I used to live, a lot of the houses were built in the late 1800's.
