I am a literature and music fanatic. I love exploring the meaning of the words in both. I hope in our lessons we will have the opportunity to do so! I am also an advocate of looking in nature for our daily lessons. I love to hike and think that need for adventure follows me into the classroom with all the stories we will explore. With English, I really like to dig into the classic texts and analyze the style, rhetoric, and language used by each author. I love to understand why an author chose to write a piece in a specific way and what in their life influenced them to do so. I start every lesson with a quick grammar exercise before diving into the specific text for the day. I have the most experience teaching middle school aged student, but I am open to any grade or age.
