I think that Mathematics is a beautiful subject because it is a universal language in which we can solve problems. I strive to provide a stimulating learning environment for my students through detailed lesson preparation, friendly communication, and constructive feedback on progress.
I use a lot of examples and diagrams to explain the concepts to my students. I also try to relate the management concepts with the real life experience of the student. For example, I taught Business Management to a friend of mine in her class 12 and I used to give her examples in Lawn tennis as she is a tennis player.
I tailor my teaching based on how each student learns. I incorporate visuals and make learning enjoyable. Learning should not have to be boring. Rather, during the first session I will gage how each student prefers to learn and create a detailed, engaging and fun lesson plan that will benefit the student both intellectually and emotionally.
I first would like to identify any subjects the student feels least comfortable in and devise a lesson through powerpoint. Lessons will be relatively easy going, focusing on understanding of the topic at hand rather than memorising certain facts. I am happy to teach students at any stage of A level through to University.
