I base my classes on the current curriculum and use a mixture of practical and theory based learning to engage students.
My methodology is based upon engagement and building interest. I tailor lessons to the interests of the student and ensure that work set is appropriate to their ability and needs. In this manner i am able to stretch learners without disheartening the less able.
I approach each topic with theory, interaction to absorb information and group collaboration. Then I will through a test or a task ask students to apply this knowledge to ensure the students can recall and utilise all material in different and suitable situations.
I have practical approach to teaching Math. Eg. ratio, fractions, percentage and pie charts should be taught together and with examples from real life. Similarly Grammar should be interwoven with the Text to help children learn rules in effective manner.
Teaching is fun! Learning is fun! Songs, active learning and memory games are all fun ways of learning.
Extensive knowledge of teaching and learning, assessment, planning and feedback; ability to teach at a level suitable for a diversity of students. Ability to relate well and effectively listen to students of all ages and abilities. Creativity in the design of interesting goal centred activities and materials.
My teaching method is strongly based around 'fun.' I aim to make the experience thoroughly enjoyable to the students so they are therefore engaging with the topic, making it more beneficial. By incorporating educational games I feel the students really get the most out of it so they are then able to place their knowledge in an environment suitable to what I have taught them.
I am comfortable teaching ages 5-18, I don’t stick within the confines of any specific teaching method. I enjoy getting to know my students and their passions and use these to my students advantage in understanding specific topics. I keep my lesson structure within 10 minute blocks of topic with suited activities.

Can tutor KS3 students, GCSE and A level. Teach most of my lessons through verbal discussion and striking interesting conversations or debates about the texts you are studying. You are most likely to remember quotes and arguments for your exams if you CARE about them. Revision cards, mind maps, essay structures and arguments for particular texts.
I believe that the most effective teaching comes from guiding students to make their own discoveries. This way, lessons learnt become ingrained in our memories rather than drifting in to one ear and out of the other. Learning should be engaging so my lessons promise activities, problem solving and investigation.
I structure my lessons to ensure my students are getting the most out of every lesson. I spend time from the moment I first begin teaching a new student to assess the student's need and targeting exactly what areas or areas are needed for the student to succeed. Then together with the student we discuss a plan for how we will reach our goal.
I approach each topic with an open mind. I will try to understand what the topic is asking and will explain it in a way that everyone can understand. I am happy to give lessons to A-Level and below students.
My teaching methods are mainly based on the fact that I approach every topic with enthusiasm and the mantra that not being able to understand anything is not a crime: one can only grow in knowledge.
I try to make lessons fun and engaging. Children learn best through practical and 'real-life' experiences so I incorporate these where possible. I also have sound knowledge and experience of both key stage 1 and 2 SATs and therefore include many aspects of these too.
