I love to help build people's confidence through informal conversation classes. Encouragement is my main tool, helping to develop a can-do attitude and fostering a supportive environment where it's OK to make mistakes. Offering lessons to all ages, I am adaptable and flexible to the needs of the individual.
I'm a person who loves to share the English language with others, especially if it can help others express their ideas, thoughts and passions as they pursue their goals. I'm happy to work with individuals from 12 years of age and up. I am able to tailor lessons to the learner's style so that the time we spend can be used to focus on English and achieving your goals.
I am very flexible as a teacher and don't stick to a prescribed text. I can easily ascertain the issues you have learning English and can you give you the skills required to improve in pronunciation, spelling, reading and writing, and listening. My focus is on you being able to use what you learn with me in the real world not just in the classroom.
I have experience in teaching English to teenagers, running workshops with mature students and engaging in conversation to further language knowledge. I am enthusiastic about languages and more than appreciate the privilege we English speakers have. Thus, I believe encouragement and discussion help with learning the many conflicting rules of the English language.
My lessons are divided into three different stages: a lead-in where I introduce the topic, a while-stage where students get exposure to the language, and a post-stage where learners are able to put into practice what they learnt during the lesson.
I make sure my lessons are fun and enjoyable. My lessons are developed to suit the needs of each learner and enjoy providing activities to maximise learner participation and progress.

I love to incorporate music and acting, as well as games and worksheets into my teaching. I think it's paramount to have fun when learning a language and to laugh because a happy student is a productive student. I tailor my lessons to the individual and we can work out which approach best suits you.
I base my methodology on the pupils' needs and strengths. Approaching the language from different sources, free association of ideas and in connection to their previous knowledge, no matter how deep that knowledge is.
My teaching method is based on the student that I am teaching. I teach students based on their eye level. My lessons are purposeful and learner centered. Elements of humor is always present to entice students into focusing in lesson. I can teach undergraduate students and secondary school students.
I offer a tailored student experience that focuses on YOU. I don't teach from an outdated book or make you memorise names of grammar rules or tenses that no one will ever ask you. I aim to help and coach you to learn how to talk, communicate and live. The lessons are focused on you and only on you.
An agreed set of learning goals and priorities and a tailored programme for learning. I make all classes focussed and all material relevant to what the student wishes to be their end goal. English is more than theory, the student wants to thrive in the real world and I can make that possible.
I will devise interesting a progressive lesson plans, prior to every class, with activities for you to take away in preparation for the next class. My initial taster class is free, intended to get to know each other and what your objectives are. I will then write a lesson plan based on this.
I like to keep my classes fairly informal, without too much hierarchy. I frame them according to the needs and aims of the student. I usually follow a lesson plan that I have tailored to the student, making use of materials as necessary.
Are you looking for an experienced native English teacher? Improve confidence, speaking skills, IELTS, TOEIC, EIKEN exam skills and a lot more. Discounts available for dedicated learners. My name is Lorraine, I am a native English speaker and I have been teaching English since 2010. I have qualifications in teaching both business and general English.
My priority in class is how you learn naturally. We all learn in a unique way and so often we are taught in a way that is ineffective. By first establishing how you learn best, I can then tailor classes to your specific strengths and needs. We focus on what you want to focus on.
I aim to make each lesson as engaging and enjoyable as possible. My lessons suit learners of English as a second language from beginner school level to more advanced students. I aim to tailor each lesson to the individual's own interests and goals, with emphasis on vocabulary, grammar, speaking, and writing English.
I am very patient, and will take things as slow or fast as a student would like. I will correct your mistakes, but will give examples to show you what I mean. And I will try to find tricks to help you remember.
I have always longed for the opportunity to change lives; to mould young minds with the notions of honour and respect and duty - ensuring that generations to come contribute positively to society. Being a teacher will give me the opportunity to share knowledge and see my students succeed at something they set their minds to; bringing me the greatest joy and satisfaction in the process.
Experienced English teacher able to help with ESL conversation, grammar and exam prep. I'm a friendly, talkative girl from Scotland, UK and have been in a teacher in Asia for the past three years.
I specialise in General English but also taught B2 certificates. I am also familiar with other test typologies like TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge Exams. I taught students from beginners to advanced students. My teaching approach is very dynamic and centred around the student. I believe that this is the key for successful tutoring/teaching.
I am happy to find a method that works best for each student. Let me know how you like to learn and I can plan lessons accordingly! Personally, I prefer to teach through topics which you will encounter in real life.
My teaching philosophy is very student-centered which helps foster each student to his/her fullest potential. I have a passion in teaching which makes me want to share the skills and techniques for students to exceed. I love to see students' progress and become confident leaners who can influence the world in the new skills they have adapted.
I have given lessons to all ranges of ability, and my lessons tend to be very fun and dynamic, with a lot of emphasis on enjoying using the language, using the language in relevant and interesting ways, and having fun while doing it! Similarly I understand the need to have a strong grasp of grammar, pronunciation, and spelling, and so I revisit these things often.
I work through the problems. I focus on speaking a lot, and a lot of conversation involving light corrections. I also believe in writing and correcting to practice, and memorising vocabulary and practicing grammar a lot.
I believe effective communication in a second language comes from confidence, practice, commitment and being engaged.
The absolute hardest part of learning a new language is having the confidence to make mistakes. Children are not afraid to sound stupid or be wrong, but for adults, this is much harder. We would rather be quiet and correct than loud and wrong. My best advice is to try many different ways of experiencing the language. Find a teacher you like and you will learn much more quickly.
My teaching method would first begin at what the student would want to improve on. Depending on the skills and knowledge the student wants to gain, we will then create a lesson plan that would be effective and efficient for the student to benefit from.
I'm a teacher in Scotland and give lessons to anyone who requires a bit of additional help with their English. I do most lessons through Skype and use OneNote to add additional support. Lesson structure changes depending on the student and what suits you.
I love helping students improve their English in a way that is tailored to their needs and interests. I can focus on all aspects of communication, including speaking, writing, reading, grammar, and listening! I want my students to feel confident using their English no matter the setting.
