I am a friendly and passionate language teacher, with experience of teaching all ages and abilities. I help students to gain confidence in their abilities, support them in ways which suit their learning style and encourage independent learning in order to become a successful and confident linguist.
I am all about passion - unlocking what it means to connect with language for each individual.
My classroom approach is student centred, using Peer Tutoring techniques. I teach English to learners of all ages. I inject humour into my lessons and I try to bridge the gap between the classroom and life in the community. I have trained junior teachers on Cooperative Learning techniques.
Greetings, I'm Francesca an Native Speaker and ESOL/ESL/IELTS examination tutor, for all levels. With great Pathos for my work and the luck to have been doing it over 15 years now. I've taught people from all walks of life from the lowly to the holy. Collaborations include BRITISH COUNCIL and MACMILLAN PUBLISHING. I do most of my work online now which I count as another blessing.
As I am a super organised and logical teacher, I ensure all of my lessons have particular assessment objectives in mind and that they are split into three parts: starter, main and plenary. The starter will a brief (five-ten minutes) independent task to refresh the skills required for the lesson.
I'm an English graduate in literature and language so my focus is both on reading and interpretation but also on perfect spelling and grammar. My focus however is on what isn't perfect! My lessons would be either at my home or over Skype, email.
I am a Celta qualified English as a second language tutor from Cambridge, England. I'm confident teaching beginner levels to upper intermediate levels. I like to concentrate on phonics, pronunciation, speaking and listening, reading and writing skills. I'm happy to design lessons to the students specific needs. I also teach academic skills and business English.
My teaching method is tailored to every student's needs and learning rhythm.
I provide extra-curricular sessions to help students with classwork and exam preparation, but can also give lessons to those who wish to learn a new language. My lessons are fun and interactive, but also personalised to the individual needs of each student.
•I am TEFL Qualified • Experience teaching English to children and adults in China • I can focus on what the individual would like to learn and I will create individual lessons • I make each class fun and interesting • Each lesson is unique and interesting
I tailor each lesson to the individual needs of the student whether for business purposes or for more fluent speaking practice. I have experience teaching every level and currently teach adults face to face in Cambridge. I coached students towards their exams in Spain for two years so have a basic level of Spanish. I build confidence by helping with all aspects of communicating through English.
I am a Cambridge graduate who grew up in Bath, England. I speak with received pronunciation (the queen's English!) I am very friendly and patient and can tutor people of all abilities, from beginner to business English. You define lesson structure based on your interests and abilities.
I use a student-centred approach, in other words, I seek to understand where the student is at, revise and formulate for them questions to ascertain retention of past acquired knowledge and then build on that to advance while repeating the process.
I base my classes on the individual needs of each students. For example I had a student who mainly wanted to focus on English grammar so we started with the very basics, moving slowly through grammar points till it was more complicated- obviously we learnt vocab and had speaking practice naturally as we went along.
My teaching method is relaxed and laissez-faire, and I want students to enjoy themselves. I will break up the lessons with interactive English games to keep concentration. Learning languages should be fun. I also recognise the value of time, and the lessons will therefore be efficient and compact to help you get the most out of the hour.
I speak rather slowly and say nothing unnecessary. That is why my students perfectly understand and in a short amount of time get a lot of useful information. A foreign language teacher must also become a friend to his student, in order to instigate easy communication. Combining these two virtues: thought-out speech and easy communication - makes, if not perfect, a great language teacher.
