I qualified as a TEFL teacher in 2013 and in 2015 completed a one year distance learning course in Dyslexia. I teach students of all ages at schools and also on skype. I also prepare students for IELTS. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach General English and specialise in English for Special Purposes (ESP), for which I also write and deliver courses.
My teaching method is certainly learner-centred. Given my experience I can offer a wide range of differentiation resources and methods to suit learners' needs.
I use the CELTA method, this means a clear lesson plan covering the aims of the lesson, the objectives and how this will come about. This is vital for both teacher and student. I go over the last lesson at the beginning of the lesson before proceeding to the next topic. This is done in a fun way where possible, using audio (songs or listening) and inactive activities where possible.
I am an enthusiastic person with a passion for the English Language. My priority is to help and assist in any way I can to ensure you feel comfortable and confident whilst learning the English Language. My lessons will vary depending on what type of learner you are. I understand that everyone learns differently and therefore aim to ensure my lessons suit each individual.
My whole aim with teaching is to make the experience as enjoyable and beneficial as possible. I am happy to stick to the constraints of examination preparation, but I find that it is a lot better to explore all and any aspects of language as they come up.
