I am able to give lessons to students up to GCSE through the use of immersion, and go over essential knowledge for their level
My teaching methodology is based on the learners; I like to provide situations when the person learn from discovering rules or use the language in purpose.
Hello! My name is Jan, and I am passionate about teaching Modern Languages. I have become a private one-to-one tutor because I really enjoy being able to tailor my teaching to the exact needs of each individual student. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach French to A Level, German to AS Level and Spanish up to KS4. I have also taught English to KS3 and English as a Foreign Language.
At the beginning of each session I’d offer the students a snack and drink (can’t work on an empty stomach). I love the use whiteboards as they are fun and interactive. One of the most important things in my eyes is that a student should never get bored because if something isn’t fun or interesting then why do it.
Everyone is different, therefore I believe lessons must be tailored to the needs of each individual. We all learn at different speed and we all have our own way of learning: some are more visual than others. Teachers have to adapt.
Ma méthode se base sur l’oral, l’écoute et l’écrit ( speaking , listening and writing) et la traduction ( translation)
I am an enthusiastic, supportive tutor who will use your progress to structure lessons. Together we will identify your weakest areas and focus on strengthening these skills, using our time wisely so that you can improve faster in a shorter time frame. I will mainly provide support feeding off your current studies, i.e.
I have a degree in French and Spanish from the University of Bristol, and spent a year tutoring English in Spain. I have a flexible teaching style that I tailor according to how students enjoy learning, and what they most need to improve.
I am a French native speaker and I have worked in a 6th form college teaching French conversation and helping students preparing for their exams for 8 years. I have had a high success rate. Since 2010 I have taught as a private tutor. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach French GCSE AS/A level with AQA or EDEXCEL for both students and adults. - Tell me about your qualifications.
I would like to approach the Learning of the language in a way that you prefer, i can have conversations with you to broaden your speaking kills, i would give you short writing exercises and check them without giving you a heavy amount of work outside of our lessons.
I will typically ask the student what he/she would like to go over again and offer help/methodology on key topics. From there, we can either do exercises from their textbook. If this isn't possible, I'm willing to prepare a set of exercises beforehand.
My teaching method is based on the student’s level. I focus on their class notes and always take time to revise and practice grammar as well as vocabulary with them.
I adapt my teaching style and content to the age, needs and ability of the student. For example, with younger children, I use alot of songs and games; with GCSE students I concentrate on the 4 skill areas as well as teaching grammar.
I prefer to work with one person because I can explain better my method
I'm currently in my third year at the University of Warwick, studying French and German. As a third year student, I've just finished a 7 month placement in Strasbourg, France, working as an English teacher in two French lycées (students aged 15 and up), as well as a private tutor. Aside from language teaching, I've taught dance for 5 years, gaining a professional qualification with ISTD in 2015.
My teaching method is really flexible. I offer personalized lessons according to student's wishes and preferences. I can work on vocabulary according to themes but also on the study of French text, musics, movies...
I always start off by assessing the strengths and weaknesses of a student and make sure that I approach each lesson in a way that will benefit them the most. For example, some people learn better by writing things down, others learn better by speaking.
I am a graduate in French and English Language and Linguistics. I aim to boost confidence in French by starting with the basics and building up to the required level by speaking and writing about things that interest the learner.
My teaching methodology is very focussed on the exam boards specification. I know how to make learning engaging through the use of problem-solving tasks and creative learning.
Patient and approachable, my lessons are tailored to individual needs. I have a PhD and teaching qualification (PGCE). I have worked as an A level examiner for the Edexcel board. I have taught all age groups from toddlers to the retired.
I am a very experienced teacher and I know the areas people have problems with when learning a language. I teach both adults and children and my tutoring can be as formal or as informal as you require. The aim is to help you with your language learning, so I will adapt my coaching to your needs.
I use lots of target language and would aim to use authentic sources in my lessons. I am happy to adapt my teaching style to meet individual needs.
I provide educational support and guidance for pupils from all backgrounds, ranging from children who lack confidence to those who need to be challenged and extended.
I base my classes on the needs of the student and adapt accordingly. I can deliver lessons from the pupil's current textbook and provide extra material to extend the topics if required. I can also devise independent activities on a specific aspect of the language.
My teaching method is to help the student or students out with difficulties and watch them shine as I manage to help them overcome their challenges.
I am very flexible in my approach to tutoring French and make sure it is relevant to the needs, lifestyle and interests of each client. I can work with no material and provide conversation only (for people who already speak quite well), or I can source books, videos, etc. Topics need to be relevant to the clients and lessons engaging.
I offer one-on-one and group tutoring in French and welcome all levels. Lessons are tailored to your needs and interests. Relaxed conversations in a cafe or at home, learning through songs, stories and games for the younger ones, preparation for exams...
I give lessons up to A-level, trying to supplement any work done at school, tailoring my lessons to the requirements of each individual exam board. I use a variety of fun yet effective methods including games and mnemonics with an emphasis on increasing oral confidence.
