My name is Desta. Born in Bangkok, I'm British-Eritrean and I've lived in Thailand, Barbados, France, the Ivory Coast, Jordan, Belgium, Brazil, Turkey & The Philippines.
I listening to students to analyze his/her problems. I talk to him what he/she wants to do [exercises/lessons], I purpose him/her an action plan to follow. I am always smiling, optimist and finally find always solutions to make students or parents' student happy. The French language is a different way to think and to speak. You cannot translate word by word.
I'm currently in my second year studying Classics at UCL.The most important thing for me is to suit each lesson to the student. Learning has to be engaging to be effective, so I have different techniques and methods of instruction. I'm relaxed in the working environment to make students comfortable and to try and reduce what is often a fear of learning.
I would be happy to give French private lessons to both children and adults. In Belgium, I gave French lessons to children from 7 years old to students in first year of Medicine. This year, I have helped an English adult to prepare for the DALF; he passed it with C1 level. I am currently giving French classes to a student with dyslexia. I always try to adapt my methodology to my students.
I give lessons to beginners to A-level students. As a native speaker, I can especially help with oral practice and help you improve your pronunciation and vocabulary. Classes would focus on the student's needs.
Bleuenn's Experience I was a primary school teacher in France for 10 years in different schools. I taught children between 3 and 11 years and all subjects of school (mathematics, french, biology, sciences, english). My job was a real work of adaptation, patience, communication in order each learns at best.
I am a Student at university studying French and English. I can help with French homework and speaking practice.
I'm an ESL and a French teacher with a very wide and long teaching experience. I'm happy to say that my students have always achieved their goals and passed successfully their examinations (GCSE, A level,Baccalaureat or higher levels). Each student remains unique to me and his/her improvement is my priority.
I base my classes on a clear description of any rule regarding the language. I use different methods for kids than the one for adults. For kids, I follow the French Schools methodology. For Adults, I make a historical approach to make the class more fun.
I can give french lessons to everybody forms every age. I think that we all have different reasons to learn a new language. It is important to target our objectives and we have to adapt our orientation to the use of a language. I also think that the "learn by doing" is the most concrete way to learn a new language.
My lessons would take a broad form inclusive of vocabulary, grammar and syntax learning through a multitude of approaches to improve French reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Native I am a native French speaker born and raised in the Paris region and I have dual citizenship so I guess, regardless of the referendum outcome, I will remain a French and EU national. Individual or group bookings can be arranged preferably through Skype or by meeting in a local café for those less inclined towards digital forms of communication.
My teaching way is very bespoke to each client. Some have big knowledge gaps they need to fill and would like a lot of attention and explanations. Some others just want an academic mentor helping them to sharpen what they already know and get valuable advises from people with more experience. And finally, some would require someone with whom they can exercise their language and talk.
Friendly and warm, I can help anyone with their school homework or exam preparation (GCSE, A1, A2, A-level, etc...) being native, so whatever your level of French, I would be delighted to help. Whatever you are struggling to understand, if you need a thourough knowledge of grammar or just would like to improve your communication skills, I am happy to help.
The lessons are tailored-made both to the student aim and to his level. I believe that everyone is capable of improvement and that nothing is impossible, even though French can sometimes appear to be the worst language on earth. Besides helping you to improve your French I also try to include some French cultural aspects in my lessons jus so that you feel and start thinking more like a French.
Sessions are adapted to the student: it goes to structured conjugaison and grammar lessons to informal conversations that will allow you to improve your spoken French. I love the French language and culture and tutoring is a great way to share it with people.

My courses are to constitute of games, conversations, exercises. There is a big place in the work of the accent and in the conversation. More the themes turn around the French culture. Everyone has something that stirs their passion. Something that sparks an interest so deep-seated that to not pursue it would be unthinkable. Some find theirs in numbers, others in athletics; perhaps one may find a love for science or a penchant for design. I found my love, passion, and fulfillment when I was very young, and I found it in the Teaching.
I am willing to teach anyone who wants some lessons and my methods of teaching are flexible and are to be discussed before starting lessons. Generally I give vocabulary test every week. I am willing to travel to you to have some lessons.
I am a French student currently on a year abroad in Birmingham studying English and Spanish.
