I am a friendly German language tutor in Cardiff offering tuition via skype for adult and face-to-face tuition to pupils working towards their GCSE and A-Level exams. Tell me about your qualifications. I have an MA in English, Art History and Philosophy and the PTLLS teaching certificate. How much do you charge? £30 per lesson - if you recommend me you get 50% off your next lesson.
My main teaching method is to get people speaking and using words as quickly as possible. I believe that we only really connect with languages when we can express things in them. That's why vocabulary and simple expressions and the confidence to formulate even the most basic of sentences, is the best start.
I have vast experience with children from ages 4-16, having worked at a play scheme and as a teaching assistant for 3 years. I like to teach through immersion, speaking predominantly in German to encourage rapid learning. I to establish a learning timetable to ensure progress is reached in time for examinations.
I am a bright and lively languages student who would love to help you improve your German; a language which I feel has lost interest over the past few years but one which deserves some revival! I endorse learning through immersion techniques and would encourage you to discover the language through film, art, literature, music and cookery.
I have recently graduated from Oxford University, where I studied German. I am able to teach/tutor German up to and including A2 level. I strongly believe in using the target language as much as possible, and increasing exposure through video clips, pop songs and reading.
I give lessons to everyone who wants to learn German. I teach beginners and people who already know German, but want to get better or simply want to practise it. I can also prepare you for taking DSDI and DSDII certificates.
I'm a third year student at Cardiff University. I'm 20 years old- I still remember and school tests and being told to memorise useless vocabulary lists- so in my teaching, I try to emphasise every-day scenarios so the student can communicate the concepts and ideas confidently rather than rote-learning things you can't apply.
I graduated from Cardiff University in July 2013. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach the cello, piano and music theory from beginners through to Grade 5, German and Italian up to A-level, Maths and Music up to GCSE. - Tell me about your qualifications. I hold a German and Italian BA, A-levels in Maths, Music and German, Grade 8 Cello and an ATCL Diploma on the piano.
My teaching method would really be adapted on what the student finds easier and what the student is looking for.
