I love music and I love teaching. Performing and playing music with others is a major part of my life and I want to inspire others to make music part of their lives, too. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I am currently teaching the violin privately but also in a local school. I also teach music theory specifically for grade 5 theory exams but also up to degree level.
My teaching style is very flexible as I strongly believe that people learn in different ways and so it is important that, as a tutor, I am able to adapt my methodology to suit the learner. Previously, I have taught people from a wide range of ages, both children and adults, as well as range of abilities (A1-B2 as per the CEFR).
My teaching method consists of pictures and posters for visual learners, easy explanations, question exercises and all of the ways my teacher helped me which I found really beneficial! I have a soft approach and I am flexible with some of my teaching methods in order to suit my student.
I have offered language tuition on a freelance basis since 1994. Work experience include working as a language assistant teacher at high schools, covering maternity leave for an English language instructor in Italy, teaching German to young professionals in Cambodia and most recently working with a range of senior tech professionals in San Francisco, California.
