My teaching method will be tailored on the needs of each individual/group. I will start by listening to you and assessing what is needed and what you would like to achieve by attending my lessons. I will then set your expectations realistically using the SMART methodology. We will keep track of your progress together and adjust the course of action as required.
My teaching method changes depending on the students level and the way they prefer to learn different areas. Having gone through the Scottish School system I have an in-depth knowledge of requirements for these exams specifically. For exam preperation I make use of past papers to ensure confidence in not just the language but also the exam set up.
I firmly believe in a more immersive method, especially when learning a language. There will be some exercises in grammar, but way more conversations. I usually borrow a book in the language the student is trying to learn and make them read it and go on a full comprehension spree, paired with watching a movie or a series in the same language.
My teaching method is clear and relaxed. I prefer to start from the very beginning and make sure that students have been provided a solid basis to the language. I prefer not to overload students with excessive information, but instead to make sure that what I have taught them is fully understood and verify that via oral and written exercises. No language is too difficult if approached properly.
I am teacher with bachelor degree and I use to have FUN with my students. Lear Italian has to be a pleasure and has to be easy to learn quickly. I use to start with the grammar and then continue with conversations and written.
My teaching method revolves around the combination of both practical conversation set ups and theory oriented topics, for a better understanding of phrase construction. It's important to always find a balance between theory and practice to avoid the risk of a boring/inconclusive learning session.
I graduated in psychology, Master in psychotherapy.
The best way to learn a language is practice and that what my tutorials are all about, speaking (with a focus on grammar and pronunciation too.
My approach to teaching focusses on engaging students with the material at hand, and hopefully exciting them about the subject. I make a mix of frontal lessons and practical knowledge.
I enjoy teaching to learners of different levels. I can teach both individually and in group classes as I believe that different results can be achieved through them. With individual classes, I would focus more on grammar, vocabulary and structure, while in group classes I would try to improve and strengthen the students' conversation skills.
Classes are based on theory applied in practical exercises to help enhancing the level and find out all the vocabulary spoken by native speakers
It depends a lot on the student's level. For beginners and intermediate students I usually prepare some exercises and reading on a certain topic or construction and then have short conversations to practice it. For more advanced students I try to base the lesson on conversation alone and tackle different issues as we encounter them.
I don't have a set teaching methodology, I try to adapt to the students therefore I consider if you learn better by listening, by writing or by reading. I start figuring out your level by asking questions and then go on. I will also consider if you have homework, if you're learning for yourself or if you're interested in becoming good in a professional or academic environment.

Ciao!I am an Italian tutor based in Edinburgh. I teach to students with any level of Italian ad tailor my classes on their skills and goals. I have been teaching to students of all ages and am passionate about my job and very motivating. I have a degree in foreign languages as well as classical studies background.
I have been tutoring language and written subjects for the past few years in the UK and Italy (this includes English grammar and literature, History and Italian). I lived in Italy for 5 years, then studied in Italy for a year and taught English to Italian students ages 12-17, and lead conversation classes for children at a college. My classes were groups of 4.
Usually, I have my classes on Skype because by doing it we can have a flexible schedule and it is also more stimulating. For our classes, I always use PDF documents that I personally make and write, based on different topics and/or grammar. This will save money on books! Nevertheless, I can also meet in person for one-to-one lesson.
My name is Mariarita, I am 26 and I am an italian native speaker. I usually teach to middle school or highschool kids, but in my last year of university I started with adults as well. I usually start teaching grammar and phonetics, and later on I like chosing a topic to discuss about with my students, according to their level, their skills and, of course, what they want.
I've been living in the UK since 2008, I grew up and matured my passions here and got deeply fascinated with people and the traditions of this country. I met so many people from all over the world expressing the desire to learn my motherlanguage. I would like to teach how to have a friendly conversation in Italian in a easy and stressfree way, providing help in translations and pronunciation.
For each level I offer: - 30 min FREE, to verify your level and understand your needs - face-to-face online lessons (including grammar, speaking exercises, listening exercises* + conversation for higher level).
I love Mathematics and Languagages and I enjoy teaching, helping students achieve their full potential. I have had a lot of experience in Maths competitions, winning several medals and awards. My dream is to become a Maths Lecturer and Researcher.
I think the best way to teach and learn a language is having a conversation. That doesn't need to be over complicated or about difficult topics since the purpose of this kind of exercise is to make you feel more and more comfortable and secure about your skills with the language.
For a few years now I have been tutoring students in different subjects and with different needs (10 to 17 year olds, mainly in Maths and English), which has taught me that there isn’t one method that works for everyone. It is really important for me to follow a student over time and understand what works best for them.
