With GCSE students that I've worked with in the past I have started by finding out their strengths and then working on all of the areas that they aren't comfortable with. During A Levels, if my class mates had a problem I would look through their working and gave some advice on other ways to approach it and then helped them through the problem.
This is my first time teaching officially but feel its something that comes naturally to me, I aim to give tutoring lessons tailored around your needs. I will set homework related to specific topics or areas that you wish to improve upon and will have it marked ready for our next lesson so we can recap any possible errors with the goal of meeting on a weekly basis.
I like to treat my students as individuals, build a working relationship and work at their pace and according to their needs. When it comes to GCSE, I have had a very high rate of successful exam results over the years.
I approach each topic by helping the student understanding and revising the basics, which can involve his general knowledge related to other modules. Conceptual and objective questions will be here to him having an autonomous approach to the concept. My aim will be to support him throughout this process by helping him and answering his questions. Before moving on some more abstract problems.
Maths can be a painful and difficult subject at the best of times and it can really help to have someone in your corner who can help you get your head around that question you're stuck on. My goal, for every lesson, is to make sure that you fully understand your course material. As a tutor, you will find me fun and engaging.
I taught students at the university. We had a problem that we needed to solve. I asked questions which they had to answer to understand how much knowledge do they had about the topic. After, I explained the situation, the way we should solve it and the reasoning.
My teaching method is similar to most teaching methods - explaining and ensuring the student has an understanding in the subject, giving out questions, and helping correct any errors to further their understanding. However, if the student has a prefered method of learning I am more than happy to do it whatever way they find best to learn.
My teaching method is expand a students current knowledge and helping to improve their basic overall knowledge. I do this as i know without a level starting field its hard to build on higher subjects. For example you wouldn't teach algebra if someone cannot rearrange equations.
I am an experienced tutor and qualified teacher with PGCE Mathematics and Master of Mathematics degrees. I have an excellent knowledge of mathematical theories and applications, experience of working with children and young adults, and a proven record of success in tutoring.
A second year student studying Education with Mathematics, I ask students what they struggle with the most and help them around that area first, I will give mini tests and set some homework for them to complete by the week after. Complete past papers with them.
my teaching methodology is by way of example with videos etc and 2d representations on paper.
I take an enthusiastic approach to teaching.
Practise makes perfect! Looking at mark schemes and understanding what it is the question is asking you to do.
I am an Indian student in Lampeter. Though I study History I have a strong base in Math and Hindi. I believe practice makes perfect, and that is what I ensure with my pupils. I try to give learning tips to make your life easy (I don’t promise it! But I try!). Cheers.
