I am happy to go though the content of a course if a student needs all-encompassing help on a subject (from GCSE to A-Level to Degree Level). I am also willing to go through pieces of homework or do practice tests with students wanting to prepare for exams. I am here to offer the knowledge I have acquired over my own studies to others in a friendly and clear way.
I enjoy teaching and do not think of it as a job. I am flexible to the students' needs and do not follow a rigid teaching method. I direct the students to be able to figure out the solutions on their own rather than just helping them with homework.
I'm a mechanical engineering student at the University of Sheffield with A Levels in maths, physics and further maths. I teach maths and physics in 1-2h sessions in which I guide students through example problems or school work. I can also explain concepts covered in school in the level of depth appropriate for the student's ability and interest.
I offer quality education of international standard to students from secondary upto graduate degrees in the fields mentioned earlier I am a biochemistry graduate with a masters and bachelor degree in the same field The methodology of my teaching is in compliance with the use of modern technology
I have just completed my first year studying maths at the University of Birmingham and attained a 2:1. I have experience in teaching maths to primary school and GCSE level students, and am able teach students up to A level.
I taught students of electrical engineering for three years. I would like to teach secondary school students and the lesson and lectures will be online. I am a friendly teacher and I believe that students should enjoy mathematics, not be scared of it.
I primarily tutor to GCSE level but can teach to A-level privately. My lessons follow the format of: Theory, interesting application or use and exam practice to familiarise my students with the style of questions. I am a silly, energetic and passionate tutor who will push you to be the best you can be.
Whilst in China I taught a wide range of students from Year 6 to Year 13. I prefer a smaller class as it often leads to stronger development of students. I go into my classes with basic lesson plan but often divert from the plan to accommodate the classes needs.
My method is based on ones learned at Birkdale School here in Sheffield and is based on understanding the logics behind the maths so even if you forget formulas and details you can still answer the questions. As a tutor I am enthusiastic and joyful, full of energy. I love football and I often use football as a way to explain the maths (e.g. stats).
Understand the student, their confidence level on each sector , giving easy tips to oversome weak side. Be very friendly to them, ask questions which make them think and grow gradually without giving much stress. Make them smart for the World.
I like to split courses into small sections and identify areas of strength and weakness in the student. I then tackle the weak areas by explaining methodology and giving useful tips as well as using past papers and practice questions to help the student to become comfortable with all topic areas and types of question.
The lessons will be focused on those areas which need most attention first. I will direct students to solve problems on their own first and then help them. I have always enjoyed maths and received an A at AS level.
I aim to provide the student first with a solid theoretical understanding of the subject before testing and honing their understanding through problems. I am applied this methodology both one on one and with groups up to 70 I'm size and found it to be effective.
I teach on a very individual basis and work on any weaknesses the student has. My approach is always building in depth understanding of the subject first as a solid foundation to being able to achieve highly in exams. I believe if the student finds a subject interesting, they'll work harder at it and I've been told I have a knack for making physics and mathematics interesting.
I am a 21 year old UG Maths student at the University of Sheffield and I am able to teach GCSE and A Level Maths. My lessons will introduce some theory in the first half and set example questions in the second half. I am very patient with students as I know we all learn at different paces and I am flexible in the way I can teach a particular idea, so that the student understands it better.
My teaching method is based on practice and repetition of the method until its perfected before moving onto more difficult questions. I encourage people to ask questions and learn through that. I prefer to give lessons to young kids but the lessons can be tailored to different levels.
My approach to teaching is relaxed and fun, and I look for the best way your child learns things and use that to their advantage. I have varied teaching experience as I have taught in a diverse range of schools around Sheffield. I have done whole class teaching but I love to work with children one-to-one as I find it incredibly rewarding seeing the progress they have made in their learning.
My teaching method will differ from person to person as I am a strong believer that most of the time (in maths) every one will understand something in a slightly different way, if some one isn't getting something then I don't believe they've been taught passionately or contextually.
I aim to tailor my tutoring to students therefore maximising what they get out of each session but typically I will set work to be completed. This will allow me to identify the weaknesses that are present and spend all my time focused on rectifying them and bringing them up to a high standard.
My teaching is focussed on reflection on the part of the learner, with students encouraged to think about where their strengths and weaknesses are and then use that to structure lessons. I would encourage tutees to bring work or problems with them which we can then go through. I believe that I should be there as a guide and helping hand rather than me talking for an hour.
My teaching method is to first to understand how much knowledge related to the topics my student have, then explain to them the subject and make a test for them and evaluate where are the main difficulties and work on them to improve it.
Firstly, I teach anyone from a low level of maths up to GCSE level. I am a very easy-going individual and very patient. I understand that some students may find it difficult to understand whereas others may grasp things quickly, so I adapt to the pace of the student when necessary. I use examples a lot and sometimes use real-life situations to ease approach to the problem.
I like to take a very hands on approach with clients and consider myself a very personal individual, who will adjust and adapt my tutoring methods to fit the person. I can give lessons from early high school grade up to A level standard.
I am Ben I am currently finishing my A Levels and in particular am finishing A Level Maths Statistic and I am happy to help Tutor anyone at Maths at any level up to AS Level (C1, C2, S1). I recieved a B overall in my AS Levels and got an A* at Maths GCSE.
Before I start to teach new topics, I will first get to know the student and the level that they are at. Starting from simple questions and heading towards more difficult problems will enable me to adapt my technique to suit the students needs. I am very patient and will challenge students within reason to achieve their best potential. I'm familiar with OCR, AQA and Edexcel exam boards.
Hi, I'm Jess, a PhD Student in Materials Science and Engineering at the University, tutoring in Maths and the Sciences. I am passionate about getting people engaged in Science, Engineering and Maths and have been involved in outreach throughout my time at University and began teaching undergraduates and running outreach events during my PhD.
I am available to give lessons up to A Level in Physics, Maths and Further Maths. My lesson structure is highly adaptable, and can be tailored to a student's needs. Lessons begin with a recap of the topic, reinforcing what has been taught in school. Worked examples are then used, to give the student experience with putting the theory into practice.
I'm currently a university student studying physics and astrophysics. I am happy to give lessons to anyone seeking help below degree level. All I ask is that you are optimistic and willing to try your best! I strongly believe that a true understanding is the key to success. I therefore place a large emphasis on ensuring a student fully understands a topic above anything else.
