According to academic research, linguists have demonstrated that there is not one single best method for everyone in all contexts, and that no one teaching method is inherently superior to the others. However, I prefer Direct Method (also called Natural Method).
Hello! I offer Spanish tutoring up to A Level standard for students who are preparing to take exams either this summer on in coming years.
I tutor based upon my own experience of learning English. I try to cater to any sessions of conversational tutoring to mirror conversations you might have within a Spanish speaking country. I speak standard Spanish with a Costa Rican dialect. Within any tutoring I give, I always seek to ensure the student has a solid understanding and feel for the local culture.
I have taught young students for the most part, and am familiar with several coursebooks and different teaching approaches. I like to base mine on the students' needs. After an initial assessment, I take into account what the student expects from the course, their goals, and their learning habits.
My lessons are personalised, adapted for every person/group. Student centred, mainly focused on communication skills, but always adapted to the student's needs, interests and aims.
I tailor lesson plans and learning plans according to every student's special needs and goals so that you can have a more personalized learning experience. Language learning and teaching are both great passions of mine. I speak 8 languages (6 at a professional level) and teach 3 of them. I teach with a lot of enthusiasm, patience and with an overall positive approach.
I build the lessons around songs. This way, students are immediately immersed in vocabulary, culture, natural pronunciation and expression, and learn about a place and people in a fresh and exciting way. I've combined 15+ years as a language teacher, musician and intercultural trainer to create the best language lessons I could create.
The most important thing for me is to feel comfortable with each other. We all have different and unique needs, so communication is very important.
I would engage my students through the use of discussion / debate. I am very chatty, friendly, patient and adaptable. For Spanish oral lessons, I would find content / articles that my student would find interesting based on their own interests. I would make the lessons challenging, but manageable.
My methodology is based in practical and fun activities. All my contents are based in constructivism where students are the key to learn. My approache is more inductive, and I would give a variety of examples for a concept without any rule. The student will learn the grammar rule by playing with interactive exercise. As well I like to learn through songs, videos, and experiences.
My teaching method is based on building confidence and making sure the student realises their potential.
I am a Year 12 IB student who was born in Bangladesh but was raised in Spain. I lived in Spain for 11 years and attended both, primary and secondary school in the country. Hence, I speak Spanish fluently. I arrived to the UK nearly 3 years ago and sat my GCSEs, obtaining 10 A* to B/grade 6) results, with A* in Spanish and Grade 9 in English Literature.
My teaching methodology can differentiate in a number of ways: how the student access content, the types of activities students do to master a concept, what the end product of learning looks like and what assessment students need to pass. Also, I always take into consideration the learning needs of the student and age.
I'm a patient person who likes helping other people. I would adapt my lessons to the level and personality of the student. I would combine different types of activities to learn without being bored. I think it is important to make the student be excited about what it is learning.
Having graduated with a 2.1 in French and Spanish, I can confidently teach up to degree level. I like to mix my lessons up between Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking activities. I find that this way the lessons are varied and really help to improve in the language.
Personally, I am a visual and practical learner therefore I try and teach my students the same way I would like to be taught. I find interactive classes are more stimulating than standard read and remember methods, and therefore integrate as many interactive methods as I can in my classes.
I try to addapt every single lesson to my students' needs and interestings, preparing a variety of materials and activities (including games, songs...). I try to make my lessons as enjoyable as possible so that my studnets could get into language learning and feel comfortable and confident on it.
I would like to give lessons to individuals. My characteristic as a tutor is to help out and make students ambitious without giving up. I got my experience from school, lessons and family. i am a Spanish tutor for my younger brother.
I base my classes on the personal motivations and needs of each of my students. For instance, if a student loves reading, I will use excerpts from different books and literature in general as a way to engage him in the class. I always ask my students about their interests and passions, so we can apply them to the Spanish lessons.
I like to teach students based on interesting facts that are going on in the world by having reading comprehensions of blogs, about travelling in Spain or Latin America and setting homework based on qualities relevant for the exam that my students need to prepare for.
I teach via Skype video calls and I love to base my lessons in the student's interests, every lessons is customized in order to meet each student needs. I am 18 years old so I can teach you from the correct and polite educational language to the slang and commonly spoken by the youth language as well.
I usually will tailor my tutoring lessons according to the particular student as I don't believe there is a set method that fits everyone. That said, grammar and key vocabulary is an essential part of succeeding in formal exams and therefore I tend to incorporate these elements within my sessions.
I am able to give lessons to those who are GCSE and below (though year 12s may also find my lessons useful). I base my lesson on a didactic method, imparting students with the key vocabulary they need and tools to remember those words and frequently test them. In order to liven up my lessons I also will make topical and fresh references to show real world application to the language.
I love teaching and learning about other cultures. I use different techniques to help my students to speak and understand Spanish.
My teaching method is tailored to each student. By taking into consideration that we are all very different when it comes to learning.
I am a native speaker of Spanish, graduated as an English teacher with three TOEFL degrees (Teaching of English as a Foreign Language), recognized by UK Naric. I combine the precise knowledge of Spanish as it is my mother tongue, with the academic teaching background given my academic studies and work experience.
I don't like being repetitive, which I find boring and demotivating. In learning a language, it is important to practice every single thing through three aspects - writing, speaking and listening. That's why in my classes I use a lot of extra resources, such as videos, recordings, articles or past exams.
I base my classes first taking into consideration the level of the student(s) I like to vary activities aiming to build their confidence and practise different skills which will help them recognise patterns particularly in the grammar. As a native, I love including in lessons cultural awareness of the Hispanic world whenever possible.
I base my classes on the practical learning and on what you would like to learn, using useful and fun materials. The most important thing is what do you like, and with that we can learn and grow together as a team.
Trabajo con un enfoque comunicativo en donde todo gira hacia un tema central en donde se pone en practica la fluidez, entonación,coherencia, vocabulario todo esto en un entorno ludico con temas de actualidad para generar una clase dinámica y así lograr una participación activa del estudiante
