I usually follow this lecture plan with my tutees, it's something that helped me a lot and what my tutor used to do with me as well, and it helped immensely: -We use past papers as a warm up, 1 or 2 questions to start off! -You share any questions you might have (this actually makes my part a lot easier, as I know what to focus on) or are not sure about, and we can talk in more depth and...
I am giving lessons in Physics and Maths up to GCSE. The techniques I use are: to go through the theory behind a topic and then go through the specific methodology of completing related questions. Then allow the student to attempt similar questions to ensure they understand the information.
I'm able to aid anyone at GCSE level or below. The structure of the lessons will be entirely catered to the student's needs. They will also be taken through the subject areas at the individuals required pace, areas will be studied more if it's needed.
I prefer one-on-one tutoring and enjoy engaging my students with fun and challenging math problems. I like to apply math to real world situations to allow my students to fully understand the relevance and necessity of knowing and using math in their everyday lives.
I believe in the gamification of my lectures and try to make things as simple as possible.
I have taught maths and computers to primary students. I believe to teach in friendly environment where students and teacher can have discussions over topics related to subjects. I try to start with easy problems first in order to get them proper understanding and knowledge about the respective problem.
My tutoring can range from a level of, A level mathematics in which i gained an A grade to GCSE mathematics and lower levels. Dependent on how you like to learn i can create challenging questions to improve exam style answers or set techniques for answering questions that can guarantee to pick up those easily missed marks.
I mostly give lessons to students currently studying AS Level, but have occasionally taught GCSE students. My techniques for helping students are just very straightforward, from past papers to watching video tutorials to using textbooks to fully engrave the information into their bright minds.
I favor a problem based approach as this allows students to build confidence and transferable skills. Finding the aspect of your subject that you are passionate about makes learning a lot easier; I aim to help you find that enjoyment.
I am looking to give lessons to GSCE level individuals. My lesson structures are based around a package design or a lesson by lesson basis. I am always positive and supportive during lessons. Feedback will always be given and asked for by myself. During each lesson I always give time to focus on the well-being of the student and to give helpful tips on dealing with stress, anxiety and motivation.
I like to tailor my methods for each individual pupil as I have found this to be highly successful in achieving results. My style is personable and relaxed, however, I believe in using real life examples to aid teaching. This enables me to be a highly efficient teacher.
I will be approaching each topic and each chapters thoroughly. Providing extra time if my student needs it.
Whilst my main study currently is an Astrophysics masters degree, I have a deep love for the mathematical method which has greatly enhanced my development in understanding the physical world. As of May 2018 I am in my first year of university having already received 2 A*s in mathematics and further mathematics with an A in physics at A-level.
Everyone learns differently, so I aim to first tackle the topics that make up the foundation of Maths & Physics then proceeding onto the exam questions. I like to reinforce learning continuously so subjects are not forgotten. I look to establish the lessons topic before hand and set out a worksheet so the student is familiar with the lessons agenda.
Provided I am informed in advance of the topic for an arranged lesson, I will give my time to prepare fully around it before the sessions. Normally in the sessions I give simplified explanations along with worked examples discussing with the tutee. During the sessions, I ask reasonably progressive questions to make sure the tutee can understand the relevant concepts.
My name is Charles Heffernan and I am a Physics undergrad student at Cardiff University. My lessons are geared towards GCSE and A Level students having previously tutored for students in the age ranged of 13-18 years old.
My teaching methology will differ depending on the group of students. I may work with solving exercises, or preparing slides.
I like to help students understand how things work rather than just teach them to learn the formulas and definitions. I believe working through problems is also very important in Maths and Physics as using the knowledge consolidates it in your brain.
I personally prefer flexible teaching methodology. As every students are unique, the same teaching method may not be effective to all students. Instead of having a standardised teaching method, I tend to first understand the backgrounds of students (e.g. academic level, personality, learning ability) then apply personalised teaching methods to them.
I have a 2:1 in a Masters of Physics, which is a highly numerate subject, allowing me to give lessons on Maths and Physics to students. I am engaging and personal with a logical approach to tuition. I start by retreading the core concepts to identify and clarify weak points, followed by an example based approach to consolidate the new information.
With mathematics and Physics the key is to learn how to think rather than memorizing some equations. That is my approach in teaching. I want to make sure that with what you take from my classes you will be able to solve almost any problem regardless of whether you have tackled a similar one before or not.
I am a fourth year Mechanical Engineering student at Cardiff University. I am able to provide lessons in Maths and Physics with the possibility of other subjects such as Geography and Chemistry up to a AS level standard. Having being through tuition myself I am provide a refreshing and young method of teaching which involves many different techniques tailored around the students needs.
I can give lessons up to A-Levels courses; which I just graduated with AAB, As for Physics and Italian and B for Maths. I like to teach my students with a more personal approach, talking to you in a way as a friend and not like every other strict teacher. I focus that you can understand to a 100% each topic, so you can achieve better grades.
I am a young lady studying biomedical science at Cardiff metropolitan university aspiring to go onto medicine after. I teach students in secondary and primary school who are finding the science and maths areas complicated. I use basic but fun teaching concept and try understand each individual pupil and how they learn , I try to make the lessons as exciting and beneficial as possible .
I try to act more as a mentor than simply a teacher trying to pass on curriculum knowledge. I try to offer advice in topics I myself found difficult in school as well as easier and unique ways to remembering some of the more difficult areas that crop up in maths and science.
I am a Postdoctoral Research Chemist and I want to give lessons to AS, A2 level students My technique and methods of instruction are to give an overview of the relevant topic, and then forge with detail. No amount of frivolous behaviour will be tolerated.
I am a BSc Observational Astronomy graduate, with skills 14 GCSEs A* - C including Mathematics, Science, Additional Science and English Language & Literature. I understand that students will have different learning techniques and will assess this. The best teaching method for you will be used. I am patient and understanding and enjoy passing on knowledge.
I can teach A level I can teach GCSE Level I can help chemistry students at undergraduate level ( I may need warning of the problem that needs help as the subject can be very complex!). I will teach by going over singular parts of the curriculum and then going through questions at the end of the session with the student. I can also help in Biology, Physics and Maths.
I structure the lessons to improve grades by focusing on areas of poor understanding. I usually will work through the topic with the student until the concepts are understood before past paper questions are answered with my assistance.
Simple, easy to follow explanation for topics, Flash cards, mind map for quick revision, individual topic based exam question practice. Easy to follow point wise notes, summary, quick revision before each new topic. Learning at pace students are comfortable with. "Science is interesting and easy to follow not boring and dificult".
