I try and make my lessons as enjoyable as possible, as fun is key to learning. I also go through different examples of the subject until it’s fully understood.
I like to go through past exam papers with students and coach in exam technique as well as enhance understanding of science. I work alongside what is being covered in school, providing any additional support where necessary. I am experienced in teaching all three sciences at GCSE.
I personally am a kinesthetic learner, so my usual teaching method is using real life situations or applications, but depending on the learner can adapt per need. e.g. basic maths skills for division, using a group of physical items (i.e a pack of biscuits) to make into divisible piles to show a physical representation of the problem.
I am currently studying for a BSc in Physics at Swansea University. I feel I had to use a broken down technique to be able to learn everything I had to and will try convey this style of learning. This combined with going through questions is the key along with practise.
As an experienced teacher I have worked with a range of students including those with learning difficulties and language barriers to high achievers to support all students to achieve their best. I am able to adapt to the needs of students and believe science should be both informative and engaging for all pupils.
Physics revolves around understanding, so talking through lots of questions and topics is key. As well as that, there is a lot of maths in Physics up to GCSE so helping students practice these kinds of questions and marking them, showing them where they are going wrong and helping them to understand how to solve each problem would be a critical part of lessons.

I use a structured approach to understand exactly where assistance is needed. Lessons would then be based around specific needs. As I have recently completed my GCSEs I would focus on both content and methodology for tests and exams. I appreciate how stressful it can be to not have full confidence in a topic, so my calm and empathetic approach is part of my method.
I study Economics at University of Bath, and give lessons to all ages of secondary school students in Maths, Physics, Economics and Spanish, having studied all these at A-Level, achieving grades of A*AAB.
The current A levels are incredibly content heavy and rely on so much more than just knowledge. My approach to exam preparation consists of teaching proper exam technique and utilising both the Feynman and Pomodoro techniques in an attempt to remove rote learning whilst increasing the students ability to concentrate for prolonged periods of time.
- Classes We run classes in the core subjects; English, Maths and Science for children aged 8 and upwards.
I have , more than , enough experience to adapt completely to student needs ( including diagnosing problems ) whether it is reinforcing fundamentals or exam practice with past papers and exam technique. Can be face - to face or online ( Skype ) or a combination of both.
I give lessons to GCSE and A-Level students in Maths, Further Maths and Physics, both in person (in Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge) and online. Having completed my GCSEs and A-Levels myself rather recently, I can relate and see problems from a student's perspective.
Personalized, active learning. I adapt my teaching to the student needs, pace and style of learning. First lesson to assess the student and design the most appropriate learning strategies.
I am happy to go through any questions a tutee might have or can prepare material beforehand. I also like to do brief introductions to material which may not have yet been covered to give a broader understanding of a subject.
Tailoring to the student's needs, I can support Mathematics and Physics learning from GCSE to AS and A2 level; Science, Chemistry and Biology to GCSE level. For the last nine years I have been tutoring full time. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I tutor Physics and Mathematics GCSE, AS and A2 levels, and Biology, Chemistry and Science GCSE.
I like to make my lessons personal to the student I teach. We will work together to uncover your weaknesses and then I will base my lesson plans on this information. I am able to teach course content and also exam technique. As a student taking public exams for the last four years I have valuable first hand knowledge on how to answer exam questions.

I will make every bit of maths understandable to you and I will get to know how you learn in order for you to learn in the most efficient way.
Growing up I struggled to study since most of my teachers believed in memorization as the only technique to acquire knowledge. My frustration with this learning style, coupled with my passion to succeed, enabled me to look out for creative ways to solve complex problems throughout college and university.
I'm bilingual in English and Chinese. I give lessons to A-level students in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. My teaching method is to guide students and encourage independence and creativity. I am very patient and a good listener. I focus on exploiting students' strength and potential and build up a plan that is personal to individuals.
My teaching method is what I believe to be the best way to learn; which is the intuitive method. I believe that making the student understand the subject matter will not only help achieve the better grade but will also help the student retain the subject material for longer.
I have taught online and where required in person. To small groups of students and for individual students preparing for A Levels, Higher IB's, Oxford University, University of London, University of Southampton, and University of Cambridge entrance exams, etc. In a variety of subjects, such as Computer Science, Physics, Aeronautical Engineering, Economics and Mathematics.

I am a Masters Engineering student at the University of Exeter with a background in Mathematics and Physical Sciences. I teach students anywhere from primary education through to A-levels at school and college.
The most important method I teach is consistency. I believe in working hard but also working smart so that students are using their time efficiently and are increasing their productivity. I encourage them to do a bit of work every day instead of overworking and cramming as they start to rely on short-term memory over long-term which is far more beneficial.
