The lesson itself is structured and tailored to each student according to his or her needs level and age, whether student needs help with the upcoming test or wishes to expand his knowledge. I believe myself to be a patient and persistent teacher.
Dear Parent / Student, Introduction: My name is Michael. I am a fully qualified teacher, experienced, professional and friendly tutor of Maths and Physics. Q - Which subject(s) do you teach? Maths and Physics to all levels to A - Level. For the new GCSE; IGCSE; Maths (9 to1 ) and Physics (9 to 1). For adults seeking QTS or Maths Aptitude Tests or PGCE.
I have a knack for explaining extraordinarily complex ideas in the simplest way possible. My teaching style is straightforward and effective. I first gauge my pupil's skill level & how they best consume information, and adjust my methodology accordingly. Some students prefer to have a deep understanding of the content, others prefer the most efficient way to memorise it.
I start by having a chat with the student on what are some of the areas she/he finds challenging. We will then carry on to do some od those sums whilst assuring th student that getting it right is good, but getting it wrong is ok. Why? Because when we admit we do not know something, there exist a chance to learn! EVERY CHILD has potential to succeed.
I have taught a wide variety of people over the past few years, from relative beginners to advanced-level students, at all ages. I adapt my teaching style for the individual needs for each student, implementing several revision techniques I employed to my own studies.
I am an undergraduate student who teaches at both GCSE and A level standard. I focus on practising the skills my pupils are weakest at, through examples and past papers. I believe the barrier to students achieving in science is their confidence, which I aim to boost by showing them that all problems are achievable through practise.
I prefer to teach by working through problems together, beginning with simple problems to familiarise the student with the concepts and then moving into more difficult questions involving a bit more thought. Ultimately though, the teaching methodology I adopt will vary depending on the student, and I am more than happy to adapt to a students preferences.
Communication with the student is the key, to see where do the problem come for him or her! I then rigorously check the pupil's level: -If there are any core difficulties, we start again together to see where they come from, and then only go deeper. -A fast look at the lessons, and then practice.
The lesson revolves around student needs: • Exam preparation – we focus on understanding the content, then selected seminar topics and finally exam past papers. • Selected topic work – firm focus on one topic includes highlighting the essential workings and the applications of the course. • Project support – often students don’t know where to start.
I have been a physics and mathematics tutor for more than three years now, mentoring about 80 students, up to university level. Usually, I stick to the following pattern: I start my lesson providing scientific and – possibly – historical background of the subject, making sure that the student has clear why we are tackling that particular issue.
My focus is to build strong fundamentals. Each student is different, so is the teaching pattern. A regular home work and assessment is part of the tuition. I also provide revision notes. Few toppers at Independent and Grammar schools are my students. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Maths and Science at A Level, GCSE, KS3, KS2 and 13+, 11+ - Tell me about your qualifications.
I can give lessons to KS3, GCSE and A level students. I always gauge the student's knowledge of the fundamentals in the first lesson unless I am needed for revision purposes. My methodology is primarily based on linking the textbook material to real life applications so that the student can appreciate the content and hopefully consider a STEM degree.
I consider myself a very friendly and approachable tutor who teaches in a rigorous way that gets my students to think, but which also inspires confidence in them. When it comes to maths, I pride myself on being able to teach to all ages and abilities and to explain complex ideas in a simple manner.
My teaching method is to basically base all the topics that are going to be covered in real life examples. Therefore, the student can relate the topic with nowadays scenarios and have a better understanding of the topic. I also use graphic material and the main idea is to have fun while we learn.
I prefer to start with basics, build the foundation, followed with problem-solving and doubt sessions. I am open to taking classes both at your place as well as mine. I will help you out resolve your doubts irrespective of hours.
I believe very strongly in practical learning. Anything that I teach will have worked examples that I will go through with you to ensure that you fully understand before attempting questions yourself. I am flexible with pace, if you find a certain topic easy, I will move through it quickly as long as you are happy that you understand it.
I understand that subjects, especially Mathematics and the sciences, may not be taught in an accessible way. Many concepts can be confusing and are not necessarily explained in ways that encourage true understanding.
I am a Master's Chemistry student able to tutor GCSE and A-Level. To support school lessons, I work with students to identify areas of weakness or that could use a little extra practice. I aim to give students the tools to solve general problems with general solutions and the knowledge of how to adapt those tools to more challenging and unusual situations.
I have many years of experience as a full-time personal tutor. I build the confidence, motivation, and enthusiasm essential for success in exams and beyond. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths for Common Entrance 11+, 13+, GCSE, IGCSE, A Level, IB and Pre-U. - Tell me about your qualifications.
I can teach online as it is more convenient for students if they are living at a distant place through powerpoint and explaining things in depth so the students can absorb the material easily and left with no doubts afterwards.
Never feel embarrassed to ask when you don't understand! No one says that Physics or Maths is an easy game. However, the process of learning can be much more enjoyable than you think, especially when you see that the time and effort you put in pays off! I am more than happy to assist you with your homework assignments or help you understand better a concept explained in class.
I prefer to tutor students in a structured manor, highlighting and learning from visual and interactive methods. Specifically for A-level students I will tailor lessons based on relevant specifications and demonstrate techniques for constant improvement and quality of understanding.
I approach my lessons depending on topics the students finds the most challenging, regularly revisiting previously covered topics for revision, so students may come to me with questions they are having trouble with and I will structure the lesson accordingly. This is to ensure they are engaged rather than just listening.
My teaching methods vary depending on the student. I tend to look for what the student’s strengths and weaknesses are, and work using those. Mainly I am patient, understanding and will adjust my pace to the student’s capabilities.
I believe the best thing I can do as a tutor is to increase a student's confidence in their subject. Then even without learning any more content they will be able to answer a greater range of questions. This is done through an understanding that these subjects are hard and practicing a wide range of questions.
