Every footballer needs to build a foundation of core technical skills before adding tactical complexity.

• Ball control separates players who create time from those who always feel rushed.
• Passing is the foundation of team play and quick combinations.
• Dribbling means carrying the ball past opponents using close control and changes of pace.
• Shooting requires technique with both feet and composure inside the box.
• Tackling and positioning teaches players to delay, dispossess, or force errors from opponents.

Coaches often say: get the fundamentals right, and tactics become much easier to teach.

The average price for football coaching in Antrim is around £9/h per hour.

The final cost depends on a few key elements:

• The experience level of the player (under-10s through to senior players)
• The coach's qualifications and experience (years of professional or academy experience)
• Session length and frequency (weekly, twice-weekly, or intensive camps)
• Where the coaching takes place (at a local pitch, indoor facility, or your home)

Many coaches offer discounted rates for block bookings or sibling discounts.

A well-structured session keeps players engaged, challenged, and learning throughout.

• Warm-up lasts around 10 minutes and reduces injury risk.
• Technical drill works best when linked to the session's main theme.
• Small-sided game encourages quick decisions and realistic touches on the ball.
• Scrimmage allows coaches to observe decision-making under pressure.
• Cool-down gives the coach a chance to recap key learning points.

This structure keeps energy high at the start and finishes with the most realistic football.
