I've competed at academy level and played football competitively for 13 years. I used to play full-time in the US as a part of a university team. I now play semi-professionally. I have a FA Level 1 Award in Coaching Football and am DBS certified. I coach privately and also for Brentford FCCST. My aim is to develop you as a footballer.
My teaching method is more verbal and physical instead of note taking. I like to involve activities within my learning so you can grasp the aspect I am teaching quicker and hopefully easy to remember as I am making you physically do It instead of reading over notes constantly.
I base my individual training sessions on the general development of the player: technical, psychological, motor and physical. If needed we can focus on the player worst attributes which cause the problem to him on the pitch as well as we can work on the best skills he has.
I am committed to youth player development with an emphasis on technique and athleticism. I create high intensity sessions that are fun, competitive and accompanied by positive reinforcement. This creates what I believe is an ideal learning environment where players can push themselves and fulfil their potential.
My teaching method is to always go in to a lesson with an idea and plan, however to let the children use their own initiative and imagination to try and get to the end goal. Of course, where needed, I would intervene and demonstrate the main knowledge and skills needed. I base my sessions on various observations I have made throughout my life.
My methodology is to make learning and fun a priority and not so much to win. It seems to me of greater importance that the young people learn the values that the sport offers as well as the fundamenetos necessary to play correctly.
I personally prefer teaching someone one to one as it allows me more flexibility with his I teach and I feel like I will be more determined to really help someone specialise.
