Just because it takes you longer to get there, doesn't mean you won't! I believe learning a language is a skill that takes practice and patience, and that it is one of the most valuable skills you can aquire. I am patient but firm. I like to make learning languages fun by devising activities and games that will help you in areas you may need a little extra help in.
My teaching method is based on my experiences in Speech and Language Therapy. The approaches are visual based and functional. I believe that language are best learned through speaking early on rather than focusing solely on grammar. We will also use topics that are within your interest.
My motto is that there is no such thing as a stupid question. I am very patient and make sure the student gets a thorough understanding. Each topic is approached gradually step by step basis to build up the understanding.
I achieved an A* grade in IGCSE German, and am in my A2 year; I am continuing with German at university next year.
I base my classes on what the student wants to learn and always give my best of involving topics or songs the student likes in it. Moreover I believe that everyone learns differently and I want to support this rather than just do it the same way with everyone no matter the effect.
My teaching methodology is mostly learning through verbal communication as I believe that one can only truly learn a language by speaking it and listening to it. Of course grammar is of importance, especially to begin a language, so this is where I normally start to build a foundation before beginning to increase verbal interaction.
I do not want people to have to learn of by heart and really discourage this, instead I place importance on the basics of the subject from which I can build up. I try to make to make my classes as interactive as possible.
German for school and studies I can create a course focusing on the secondary school curriculum, GCSEs or A Levels. I adapt lessons to the student's individual learning needs, focusing on what they need to know for the exams. I identify weaknesses in areas vocabulary and grammar use, and work with my students to overcome them.
I am trying to approach every student individually, to work and solve problems and to show ways to eventually solve them yourself, to give the best preparation possible. As German is my first language, I'll be able to teach every age group. Acting will be for students and beginners.
Unlike a synthetic approach of learning phrases, I advocate a systematic understanding of the language, i.e. include historic and comparative elements, in order to lay a foundation of familiarity, upon which words, sentences and texts can be easier to comprehend. The other two basic elements which are particularly important for English speakers are grammar and pronunciation.
Teaching is a lot about personality. I will personalize my lessons to fit YOU and your individual language skills. As a native speaker, I am able to teach all levels but have specific German teaching experience at university level.
Teaching German: I would start teaching about general, basic phrases or questions in German (e.g. My name is [ ] , How are you?) and later on include grammar, reading and writing. My goal is to make the class as exciting and fun as possible so that the students are motivated to learn. Depending on the age of the student/s I would alter between the class being more efficient/ exciting.
Throughout my school career I had a tutor for about 10 years who has always supported and motivated me. In university, I learnt that it is not always the topics I enjoy but the professors who make it interesting. I try to bring this knowledge to my tutoring experience and do everything I can to make learning a pleasant experience.
I am a true believer that a language is learned by speaking. Grammar will be of course taught as well, but the best way to practise it is by speaking it! I teach beginners, so we can start with easy things like Verbs, Sentence-building etc.
I would like to try and tailor my style towards the needs and wants of whoever I am helping, whether that be through more informal conversation to gain familiarity and vocabulary or more structured written work to improve grammar.
The best way to learn a language is to learn it with a native speaker. I am very patient and I promise you to find the best teaching methodology that fits to you, because everyone has a different method to learn. We can discuss this together.
I base my classes on the students. Having completed the A-Level course myself, I understand that it is demanding and I am sympathetic to how difficult it can be to learn lots of new vocab and all the grammar rules.
My approach is that motivation the learning person to keep learning is the key. Because that is why the most people do not fully learn a new skills or deepen knowledge - because they do not stay motivated. I am very friendly but also demanding motivating.
I can give lessons to anyone as I like to individually taylor my lessons to the clients needs. My general methodology is that you best learn a language by speaking and hearing it. If you are involved in the language and 'have no other choice but speak it' you learn the best. You do not need to be perfect at the start, mistakes are normal. But with the right attitude, anyone can do it.
I love speaking about your life, day to day and simply exchange ideas, while helping you communicate better, correct pronunciation.

Hello, I am a translator who has been living in Britain for multiple years. I have taught lessons to adults in classes of about 4, however I am looking to teach one-to-one. I like to look at the language in a more practical way, focusing on conversation technique, however I also go into the grammar in great detail.
*my teaching methodology is very individual, based on your needs and goals *I believe that practice makes perfect, so I often lay the focus of my tutoring lessons on learning with practical tasks.

Hey, my name is Isabell and I'm a German Native speaker from Austria living in London. I moved here one and a half years ago because I love to learn new languages and explore different cultures. In my opinion, while learning a foreign language by reading, writing and listening, it is essential to focus on your communicational skills.
My teaching method is based on communication. I think the most important way of learning a language is through speaking it, which is simultaneously the hardest aspect. Through immersive exercises, I challenge my student's written, oral and listening skills.
