About Sindre
Hi. My name is Sindre, and I have 10 years of experience as a private music teacher for both children and adults.
I’m a multi-instrumentalist, but specialise in piano, guitar and violin. Music has been my world since childhood, and I absolutely love what I do!
Apart from teaching more than 100 children and adults over the last 10 years, I have a wealth of experience as a musician, actor and composer.
- In my early years in Norway I was hired by hotels to entertain guests as a musician and performer.
- I received multiple grants and awards for my performances as an actor and multi-instrumentalist.
- I have a BA (Hons) degree in Actor-Musicianship from Rose Bruford College (graduated in 2015).
- Later I composed a musical that was performed at The Lost Theatre in London (Fables For a Boy).
- I have extensive experience performing on stage and film productions as a solo performer and in ensembles.
- I also compose music for film productions.
I feel so lucky and fortunate to spend time doing what I love and bring a lot of passion and dedication to everything I do. My students often describe me as passionate, engaging, funny and enthusiastic. My super power is to make people who have lost passion for music fall in love with it again.
So far I have had over 100 students. Those who have gone through graded exams have all done so with a 100% pass rate.
I have a wide experience performing in several ensembles in a variety of styles. As a result of this experience, I have a considerable understanding of different musical styles and can teach all of them in a way that can be understood by both children and adults. Because of my long career as a performer, I can also give you some valuable insights into the skill of performing.

Here's what I've learned after a decade of teaching: If you're not having fun, you're not learning properly! That’s why I source material that resonates with my students' interests and incorporate their favourite songs into our lessons.
I also think it’s crucial to get along with your teacher. If the teacher is a dry, boring textbook reciter with zero personality, music will be boring as well. I’m very aware of that and make sure every lesson has energy, laughter and is inspiring.
I genuinely love getting to know my students as people - what excites them, and what their dreams are. Making students feel heard and understood is crucial for any teacher, regardless of the subject.
I've seen shy 7-year-olds transform into confident performers, and I've watched adults rediscover passions they thought were lost forever (It’s hard not to love what you do when that happens).
I host regular concerts and recitals that have become the absolute highlight of my teaching year. Watching my students take the stage, whether they're 5 or 75, gives me goosebumps every time.
I’ve been lucky to receive really heartwarming messages from parents who have noticed profound changes in their children after performing in one of these concerts. Here’s one of them:
“Sindre, I just wanted to thank you for persisting on getting Walter to join your concert. He was nervous, but was so proud of himself after he got to perform in front of his friends. He’s now a changed man! Thank you so much. ”
Proof that learning music is about personal growth as well!
I provide:
- Notes and practise plans for each lesson so you know exactly what to do for next time
- Long-term practise plans so you can see the full picture of where you’re headed
- Accountability between lessons (if needed)
- Graded mock exams before real exams
- I can also teach grade 5 music theory
- Access to my student concerts
If this sounds good, I would love to hear from you!

Sindre has been teaching Guitar to our son Leonardo for over two years.
We are extremely happy with Sindre’s ability to teach, engage and keep his interest always high.
Sindre is a multi-talented artist, he plays and teaches several instruments, and he has many other artistic talents (we went to see him performing at a play where he combined playing with acting, which was brilliant).
He possessed all the classical musical knowledge required but also a very unique and effective approach: he has ability to mould is teachings around his pupil. As a result, my son has made great progress with his guitar but also developed a passion for the instrument and for music in general.
Sindre’s own passion for learning, working hard and achieve, together with his talent in many disciplines make him a great role model for our son.
Sindre is a lovely person to deal with, talented, passionate, hard working and rigorously reliable.
My son and I recommend Sindre very highly.Sindre has been teaching my 11 year old daughter guitar for the past year.
Sindre is an excellent teacher, very inspirational, creative and clever. He combines piano and singing into the lessons as a natural teaching element. I would not hesitate to give him my best recommendations.

Kingston upon ThamesSindre is a warm and patient teacher that enables the student to feel comfortable straight away. His patience and enthusiastic attitude combined with encouragement has made my son very eager to learn piano, and he progresses very quickly. He is also very reliable and punctual. I have every confidence in his knowledge and skill and as a musician and teacher, and I would recommend him to anyone.
I have known Sindre for many years, and I was his teacher in his early years of learning the piano. Later, after he grew up, I worked with Sindre on different projects and concerts. He has won several prizes for his multi-instrumental abilities.
A lot of my younger students looked up to Sindre as he grew up, and he has been a great inspiration for them. He is extremely kind and empathic and a really fun person to be around.Sindre is an exceptional and reliable piano teacher to our 5 year old. He is very warm and patient and makes the lessons fun and interactive. Our child always looks forward to his lessons and he always gives practical easy to follow advice on how best to improve.
